@ehBeth,
don't get too used to it.

I had to work to get there...

gonna go help mr vw's sister move some stuff from his brother's place. (he's at lion king today)

then prolly go take gram for groceries and stop back to give smoky a ceegar break...

not gonna attempt much else today.

all the rain has made the sunflower forest beyond the cabin door do bonkers. I hafta fight my way through them, and they are all gonna bloom later this week...

kinda cool.

think Ima have one more cuppa before I head out...

had another another cuppa.

spent some time in the garden (I needa mow)

and thought a lot about the serenity prayer...

I think I am going to suggest a new award for Toyoda. they sponsor (advertise incessantly) with "award medals" for silly things and actual achievements within the game.

We (flying squirrels) had two pitchers in the same game on opposing sides as closers.

both of them blew up and lost the lead. back to back...

I suggest the medal be called "the accelerator stuck and I crashed it hard" award.

I am not hopeful for universal acceptance, but it is a better pursuit than dave's phonetics campaign...

gonna roll out again...

trying to figure out a problem with my truck that is killing my already suspect fuel mileage.

got a recurring code 43 (where they lump any engine spark anomaly)

I think Ima try swapping out my distributor and see what happens.

but probably after lion king.

don't wanna open up the motor whilst I know I gotta roll to town three early days in a row...

first...

the shower was a boffo idea...

the guy thought of that gets a gold star for the day.

secondly...

(those of you who know me, hold onto something so you don't fall over)

I'm having scrambled eggs and toast.

at dawn.

we'll see if that was a bad idea, but I feel so normal...

@mismi,
a verra long one.

I gotta eat something.

and I may be a mush brain by Friday night...

but come the 15th, a lot of my problems will become much more manageable. funny how having enough cash to cover all your bills makes life simpler...

I was given the unenviable job of being the man in the genie. 40 foot above the stage floor in a swaying metal bucket. made for a looooong day...

but one of the big union boys came up to me and asked why I don't work more often. I told him I had no sway in it and he prolly had a better idea about that than me, but he is going to see if he can't move me up the list in a more rapid fashion.

I'm all in...

ok.

more stable now. nibbling on leftover thai shrimp. prolly needa find something mellower than that before I get done...

still have rubber legs, but I think the genie is mostly at fault for that.

I'm not afraid of heights, but I'm not as carefree about them as I used to be. must be getting old...

this is the most incredible set I've ever been a part of. very complex. very very expensive. (we hoisted a control panel that had to be over a mil worth of computers and electronics. plus 2 giant fiber optic me$h star screens) and heavy as hell. gonna have 9 tons in the air by friday. on the smallest stage this show will play this year. maybe ever...

and their traveling crew is very laid back, not a yeller in the bunch.

I should be in bed, but I just can't do the 10 o'clock bedtime thing.

tomorrow I may change my tune and come home to just fall in bed.

but I ain't that sleepy, and I'm still wound up too much to think I can any time soon.

mebbe I'll go commune with the chickens for a bit...

@ehBeth,
I have more fear now about heights than I ever have. I think it is just understanding the consequences....didn't much think of that as a young'un.

Hope you find yourself feeling better and have a good day in spite of the shaky start Rock.

Hugs y'all

@mismi,
I'm better with heights than when I was a kid - you should have seen me last week on the skyride at the fair - I was beyond giddy ... while my pal was clutching at my elbow.

@ehBeth,
Smile I still like the rides too. High places like my roof make me feel nauseous though. So strange.

@mismi,
your roof is not a high place.

even in Alabama...

I was up in the fly space for a while today.

things look lots different 100 feet in the air. especially when the air is full of electronics equipment and giant fake bones...

nytol.
