I don't feel good enough to sandblast tonight.

so I'm prepping the backs of the fenders for primer. and cleaning little spots with the mini pad.

I think I will try to blast during the day. it's easier to see that way...

gonna have a PBJ. got a sudden case of the hungries.

then I think Ima make an early night of it.

Lotsa marginal folks on the squirrels roster today.

but none of them named fister...

my guests are here, and I am still getting going.

they are entertaining themselves with boxes of old parts for now...

I gotta get some mojo working, havin a cuppa.

the squirrels are having a quality pitching marathon today. at least 30 innings worth...

So far that plan seems to be working out for you, and not for me.

I must confess, that was my intent...

and my tater salad is awesomely delicious.

but I have a load of leftovers. my recipe feeds 10...

Why do I understand so little of what transpires on this thread? I have no knowledge or understanding of tools or cars. Now I gotta read about squirrels playing baseball.

it is the highlight of the day so far. (if we discount the cash transaction)

my grill is full of meat. (mostly not mine, I am having chicken and pork hot dogs)

and a beautiful giant white german shepherd is running the land like she owns it and all the wild cats...

my visitors have left. with both heaters and all the manuals (manuals to be copied and returned)

and some potato salad.

the kid thought he didn't like potato salad, but he was wrong...

got my evening in front of me, and a full belly.

baseball update...

of my four journeyman starters today, all threw at least 7 innings, 3 were scoreless games. One a whisker from a cg/so.

we will call it a success. if my regulars had not sucked, we woulda thumped the tico's...

after going out back and calling earl, on bethie's recommendation, I will now try to stabilize and go weld for a bit.

damn sneaky wheat is everywhere. firkin licorice.

but that explains some of last weeks bleeding...

the kid that came over today, (I prolly should not ought to call him a kid, he brought his 15 yr old son with him) was here partly to observe the convertible in all of it's disassembled and refurbished glory.

to decide how far he wants versus needs to go on his 63.

his car has some large flaws in it. covered up by plastic.

I pointed some of it out today, and showed him on the other car what it is supposed to look like.

he's in. at $200 a month for the foreseeable future...

he left a bunch of gauges for me to decide how best to cut the dash and incorporate them in with a sense of beetleness about it...

I showed him the section of rocker panel/heater channel that I was working my way down last night. filling pinholes and solidifying the metal. (it bolts the running board on and carries hot air to the front of the car where it kinda just goes away, but that is a vw engineering flaw and another post)

it is real obvious where I have been and where I quit, but it let him see the tediousness of the work, and the awesome "like new" finished product.

it is very time consuming, but uber valuable to old car lovers.

rust is everywhere. and I am the rust doctor...

I found the copper spoon/paddle I want online in the welding section at harbor frate of all places. the guy at the fancy high priced welding store (where I have an account so I get a discount) just gave me a blank stare...

gonna go see if they stock it next time I do the gram thing.

she's been poorly, but went to church today.

mebbe thursday I will take her looking for garage sales...

I felt like a true Kansan today.

we were talking about the fox, and I told him if Lucy were to flush him out I would pay a bounty.

this led to a discussion about guns, and the required showing of the shotgun.

unlike most of my neighbors, I didn't offer a demonstration...

it passed with flying colors.

I could ride on the stage coach with it.

come to think of it, I get more gabby hayes-like every day...

off to play with my welder for a bit. stinky musta slipped in and outta the businessbox while I was in the kitchen and left me a big old uncovered lovepile...

Ima open a window and turn up the fan until I get back.

it's getting mighty chilly on the floor out there. I shut the door and turned off the fan (welding with the fan is dicey anywho...)

crazy that it was 100 last week...

gonna try and finish this channel tonight. getting a cramp in my neck from welding on my side.

the other side is good to go, and I only have a few more holes to fill elsewhere, and some nuts to weld in, and then we can get to priming some stuff.

the owner wants to visit soon, and it needs to be in primer before he does...

worked late because I knew I would feel crappo after accidentally ingesting some wheat last night.

when the alarm kept going off and I dint move, dinky came in and crawled in bed. we did belly pets between naps and snooze alarms.

my head is pounding, and my guts are afire.

think I needa gonna go make me some scrambled eggs and toast.

force feed myself and start the machine up again...

and I totally missed the trash pickup.

oh well.

at least it's not stinky this week...
