Random thoughts from the moose cave.

got the tub all caulked in and waterproof.

the whole shower was black and moldy and the wallboard had warped.

he'd not used it in dog knows how long.

it was a mess...

but now it looks bright and shiny and fake tiled clean.

after his doctor appointment tomorrow, we are gonna attempt a bath...

it's raining...

ok, not really. it's sprinkling and cloudy and 94.

but after a month of nothing but scalding sunshine, this feels heavenly...

gotta find a 1 inch pipe nipple, and smoky can take a bath.

then I don't know what to do.

I wasn't ready for this.

gotta go tarp the vert...

Jeez Rock it' a pity we couldn't trade off on the weather.
I'm thinking of building an Ark we've had so much rain.

it was just a tease...

now it's crossing 100 and blazing sun. with extra humidity.

for now they say we get a true cold front end of the weekend.

they are saying 84 on Sunday, but I would guess it gets bumped up before then...

mr vw says the tv news says no significant temperature drop.

I got the remaining fittings to make his shower work if I can stand and function.

there are voices coming from the empty property that I mow 2 north of me.

gonna take ol' bessie and a flashlight and go meet some new friends...

lack of food and too much heat, stress, work, etc will do that to you. Gotta put you at the top of the list every so often. And, yes you can!

and I doubt that those kids will be back around any time soon...

they were back in the vehicle and gone in about 30 seconds...

I unloaded bessie and am now munching leftover chinese.

gonna try and work on the vert yet tonight, since I put long pants on to go scout in the dark. my next big "spare time" project is the other shower. so I can use one as needed...

we'll see how far my headache lets me go.

got his kitchen almost clean to normal person standards yesterday. and mowed...

my right ear feels like it will explode soon.

big north winds today. still hot, but it's the first sign of fall...

I didn't raise the gun, (it is a big double wide shotgun, it speaks for itself) and I didn't move from my spot.

I just didn't want them coming back around. some of the equipment in that shop is still destined to be mine for mowing later in the fall...

got 2 suction cup grippy handle thingies from the dome hippo. now his shower is AARP approved...

and I bought a bag o salad. had it for dinner...

stopped over to see D and the corgi from hell for a bit, just to vent.

she understands after nursing her mom to the end last year. and ruby roo makes anyone smile. and go crazy. she bites. and barks. and wants to be the center of attention all the time. kinda like finny, except she's cute. and not truly mean...

waiting for smoky to go to sleep.

then Ima take trash bags and duct tape and waterproof the other shower.

so I can bathe. for real, not boiling a pot and using a big cup.

I'm tired as hell of camping...

the walls are all covered in overlapped double layered black plastic. if I had black duct tape, it would look ultra modern cool. as it is, red green would love me...

I was gonna take a super long hot soaky bath to celebrate, but the tub is still too yucky to want to be in that close of proximity to it.

I will get some CLR and start trying to remove the mineral deposits. and some bleach to kill anything that might want to grow on me.

I now have my verra own nobody else is gonna use it full service bathroom. granted it is 500 feet from my house. and has slow drains. but hey...

running water is not to be scoffed at.

Ima transfer my shower curtain (jumping dolphins) and my towels, and go shower until I run the water heater cold...

damn.

I'd forgotten how nice it is after a hard day's work to go to bed fresh and clean. I even shaved...

I went ahead and cleaned the whole nasty bathroom. it's mine now...

gonna wash my sheets tomorrow. and work on the drains.

gonna be a real short night, smoky has an early doctor's appointment.
