@Rockhead,

not a relative of the moonflower, that I know of, but they do come in yellow.

@JPB,
nooooo.

i got many different hibiscuses. hibiscii?

this was essentially a medium pale yello flower identical to the white moonflowers.

but it didn't seem to like direct sun as much, and the leaves were much different.

bigger and more tropical looking.

with a thick green ropy stem.

@Rockhead,
If it is related to the moonflower, it was probably Mentzelia.

@Butrflynet,
pretty

never heard of it

This may be why...

@Butrflynet,
mebbe. those don't look quite like it though.

not poddy enough.

or ropy tree-like.

these were 4 foot tall and over an inch thick on the stalks.

@Rockhead,
The only thing I can think of is the antithesis of the moonflower which is the morning glory. They're both vines, not trees, but there are yellow morning glories.

@JPB,
that's closer.

put the vines on Boid's steroids...

they were self supporting, like a tree.

and bigger leaves.

@Letty,
nope.

gonna stop on my journeys around the metropolis today and see if I can find it...

all yellow. the bloom is identical (but for color) to the moonflower.

(and C3Po is narrating. that will be weird)

I love the lone comment left on the article. it gives me silent hope.

still dunno 'bout the flower.

oh well.

it is a beeeeautiful blustery day on the prairie.

the wheat is starting to turn, and with the swirling winds, I hadda just stop over by the river and watch the waves of grain.

too cool. nice that Kansas has something to offer once in a while.

topic shift.

my new endeavor is requiring me to develop a website.

i was given a geek to help me, but he does not communicate by e-mail (???) and is rather not very motivated.

so.

I need to learn how to do it myself. (this is a way better plan, anyways)

anybody know a good tutorial on the nuts and bolts of web-page creation?

I know a lot, having done this once before with a bad web guy. (he was talented, expensive, and had no clue about the subject matter)

I think I still have front page on an old machine, and plan to find photoshop again.

thanks.
