smoky was sound asleep while I was there. I dint have the heart to wake him.

he looks so small and frail...

spoke to his nurse. all seems normal.

and now it's hot again. got the air on low.

think Ima go mow the forest next door as it cools off before dusk...

got some more fake bread. bbq pulled pork sammich for dinner. mebbe some butter beans, too.

glad I mowed yesterday, even though it hurt me.

If I hadna got ahold of somebody, they woulda tried to deliver them to mr vw tomorrow. and tomorrow is the funeral...

off to town with all my quarters. finances are in between highs at the moment.

good thing I've watched him with the quail...

all 27 (got 2 extras) are in my fiddy gallon aquarium with a half inch of sand, and a heat lamp.

food and fresh water, too.

I can't find any sugar. I don't think he uses any.

s'posed to put some sugar in their water.

I dunno, but they look pretty danged healthy to me.

they are sure noisy little peckerheads...

in every group there has to be one...

got one mean bird. all it does is run around pecking the faces of the other little guys...

I took it out and put it back in the shipping container.

hoping mr vw will be home soon with a better idea...

My friend P use to sometimes say she wished she could put her son, T, back where she got him.

I tried telling it no and thumping it on the head.

made no difference...

they sent me an extra bird anyway. and I don't want 26 blind chickens.

hopefully he will get home soon and call me. I hadda scoot and wound up driving dirt roads home in the dark looking to avoid sheriff cruisers...

they are back in the chicken pen, as that seems to be where they think they belong.

gonna hafta inspect the fence in the morning before I get duded up in my funeral clothes.

got my welding all done. tomorrow when I get home, I hope to install the new improved exhaust. and see the 4x4 leave my driveway...

gonna wait to get my clothes out, I still have not found my lint roller. and stinky has to lay on everything I wear...

I helped mr vw bury her in the garden next to booboo.

been a long week, and it's only Tuesday...

got my welding all done. need to go start putting it back under the car, but I'm running outta steam.

goats are back in the chicken pen. they don't like the new digs as well, obviously. prolly because they like to go inside the building during the heat of the day.

I need to fence back to the horse barn, and I think they would go ahead and stay put. I hope...

got smoky's laundry done. tomorrow I will go see him, and take gram grocery shopping. then I hope to get a coupla days to stay here and get some work done. the shop is almost fully functional now, and my new compressor is ready to install.

gonna go eat tater tots by the light of the giant moon...

I sold half of my chickens today.

at a profit, of course...

I really only wanted a dozen anyways, but the minimum is 25.

and the 4x4 went back to the "good" mechanic so he can explain to the tranny guy what is wrong with the transmission just as I said it was all along.

(the catalytic converter was a problem, but not the problem)

gotta figure out what to do with the rest of my day.

I didn't plan beyond this as I was not sure of reaching the plateau...

prolly need to work on the vert.

but I think I will plant flowers first...
