I'm still just trying to get on top of today.

smoky fell again. after we left. they said he's ok.

he doesn't like the rehab place one bit. he wants some coffee, and they won't let him have any. gave him this yucky syrupy thick sludge. I was afraid to taste it...

and gram is in a tizzy. what a lot I come from...

a late solo dinner, but a good one.

smoked salmon, baked taters and butter beans...

and some deep breaths. this is all happening so fast.

and there is so much to do...

other than going for mower gas (I forgot it today) I plan to stay here tomorrow and rest. working at a slow and leisurely pace. and doing whatever comes up. and laundry, of course...

gonna make a big pot o' chicken soup. that ought to fix me up...

We colored our Easter eggs. My hands are blue and pink and green and yellow....

my favorite ones are the wax resistent polka dots. SO cute.

finished mowing in the rain.

haing some hot noodles to warm me up...

yup.

heading back to the old stomping grounds. not gonna have time to see anyone, just grabbing my rig and hitting the road. I'll prolly drive all night tomorrow night to get home, but we'll see how it goes.

I can stop if I wanna. but it's doubtful. not a big fan of Joplin...

Be safe.

Make sure you've got snacks with you that you can tolerate - might not be easy to find gf & lactose-free treats out there on the road.

my carry on is one pair of jeans, two t-shirts, a bag o' underthings, and the rest is my special snacks.

Ima eat a lot better on the road that I do at home.

(and I get per diem)

got my laundry all done finally. and packed my bag. not gonna get a lotta sleep, but I can sleep on the trip.
