long day. mowed some more in the dark. and fixed the well from where smoky had fixed it. it works now.

watered all my future and current flowers.

got some baked beans and a tater getting ready to come outta the oven.

smoky is the first outta the chute in the morning. 6 am...

I'll dream about him.

and plan to be there when he comes out of surgery.

he looks so small and frail in his hospital duds...

he was glad for the books I brought, and I took his bloody clothes to wash. Ima bring him some fresh ones tomorrow, even though it will be a long time before he needs them.

got real food for the kids, Ima go feed them so they will hush...

He'll probably be in there for at least a couple hours so you'll be able to wait until sunlight and avoid a fix-it ticket.

he won't be conscious until after noon.

I will be shortly before that...

I'm putting together some other errands. gas is kicking my arse.

Tuesday I'm hauling a buick in to scrap, and things should ease up a bit.

$200 a ton for cars still...

if you catch me up and driving at sunrise, it is because I stayed up all night.

I still start really slowly...

oof. Sounds like long recovery ahead. He's lucky to have you there to help tend to his needs. I'm sure his grand daughter is appreciative. Take care of your own needs too. (((( RH ))))

It has been a long week and it's only Monday.

On the upside here, we're supposed to be getting a 21st century internet connection tomorrow as well as fibre optic tv. Haven't watched t.v. for a couple of years really ... since the neighbour's trees got so high that we lost all access to satellite service. I'm kind of curious what's on t.v. these days.

hoping that rocky and smoky had a decent enough kinda day.

Rocky, did you know that Bob had a goat named Earl? Earl was a fence climbing goat who made friends with the next door neighbor (hard to do for a goat).

The neighbor wrote a children's book titled Earl, the Fence Climbing Goat.

Rocky, just a heads up. The rain and snow storm that is currently over most of Albuquerque and northern NM is supposed to make a beeline directly to your area tomorrow and the next day.

Best prepare for some rain and maybe a little snow if the temps are right. We've got nearly 2 inches of snow here and it is still falling.

smoky was ok when he got back from surgery yesterday.

I'm working on getting in there today...
