havin' a donut. everything looks better when you're eating a donut. especially if you are gluten intolerant...

looked at the forecast. after tonight the lows are in the fiddies. and wednesday we are scheduled to be 84 degrees. that's just a little spooky. like maybe we are gonna have another summer in hell...

I hope not.

but Ima get my primer out and have it re-shook so I can paint. as long as I can keep the moisture out, it's time to get busy with the body work.

snowplow guy decided he wants me to paint his old chrysler when we get done fixing cancer. canary yellow. I told him it would cost extra for yellow. (I don't like yellow, but it's easy to shoot) but he's pretty certain that's what color he wants....

off to empty and position buckets. rain she is a comin'...

@Rockhead,
I'll never believe another weather forcast. Saturday was to be partly cloudy. What did I get coming home from Albuquerque? A howling blizzard, that's what. Wipers on high, car at 15 mph for about 15 miles, headlights on low so I could see what there was to see of the road, and surfaces slicker'n snake snot.

Forcast my bare patoot!

ETA: Thanks for mentioning the donut. I've got one in the house I had plum forgotten about. Might be a bit crunchy, but that baby is as good as et.

@Roberta,
Well, if snakes do have snot, it's, well, slicker than snake snot.

I was singing along to Norah Jones this morning and Marco went outside to stand in the front yard to prove to the neighborhood he wasn't beating me.

So wrong.

Have you seen this youtube video about using an old tire to help split wood?

@Joeblow,
Interesting, but I don't think it would work so good for me. (I like his wooden wheelbarrow tire, though...)

I don't use my chainsaw up like he does. his wood was cut into tiny chunks. I leave mine just long enough to fit in the stoves. and I split on the ground for more swing. (my swing ain't as strong as it used to be)

mostly I try to use one of these...

I'm having another donut. I needed a smile. weather is grey and misty, but I know tomorrow will be here soon enough.

think Ima clean up in the cabin, and do some laundry. smoky's race should be about over, I'll go make sure he's thinking about dinner.

silly bubba is cooking her noggin under the stove. her tail has singed spots all over it now...

stinky is sprawled out into my spot on the bed. he made sure I refilled the kibble bowl before I took off. he's not even subtle anymore. right in my face whilst I put my socks on. then ran over to noisily push the crumbs around...

I'm not sure who's the boss anymore...

@Rockhead,
Yummmm....doughnuts.

I sound like Homer Simpson.

We just got back from the Bass Pro Shop. I took S and he went fishing in their pond. Caught one almost as soon as his hook hit the water. It was the biggest one that had been caught all day. He seems to be a natural when it comes to fishing.

Grey here too. I always have a hard time this time a year getting supper ready. I seem to wait until it's dark and by that time it's late! Oh well. I will get my schedule back down in a couple of weeks I suppose.

Smack talking on the Fantasy Baseball thread. Razz

Gotta go make the supper now that I have reminded myself.

@mismi,
Set and I just shared something that looked a lot like this from the Serbian bakery

sort of a cinnamon danish with custard filling and toasted coconut and powdered sugar on top

whatever it was, it was yum <wipes sugar off polar fleece>

@Rockhead,
Oh definitely. I remember wishing you had one! Ours broke this winter. Still not fixed.

Anyway, I thought that was a clever trick in the video. Larger tire, longer lengths? Might do in a pinch.

I'll report back Wink
