been cleaning in the shop. need to find a better place for my vw motor. it will be a while before I need it (gonna build a trike one of these days)

got a couple small taters in the toaster oven to bake, gonna go kill an hour.

first I gotta haul some water, I'm down to my last few gallons. and smoky was acting sleepy last I was inside...

still firkin awesome weather. got all my doors open yet.

you've been the mad cleaner lately ... kitchen ... shop ... vehicles ...

I am duly impressed.

there's been a lotta stuff let go over the last few years. but I am starting to make a dent.

having some roasted pine nut hummus and rice crackers whilst my taters finish up...

the stars tonight look almost like I could reach out and touch them. but the temps are dropping fast. gonna hafta light the stove in here soon. not gonna use the wood for the shop, I'll work in a sweatshirt till it gets too cold, then come in for dessert...

I'm officially Proclaiming this to be saint paddy's week. my pulled pork sammiches don't seem to be botherin' me much. Ima go ahead and buy a corned beef and see what the worst is that can happen.

I'm in for the night. finished cleaning up, and rolled the vert into the center of the shop. started knocking off the surface rust that has accumulated on it over the winter. it's not bad, just an annoyance. I can feel it in my throat. needa start wearing a mask again when I do that stuff...

tired. which is good. mebbe I sleep tonight.

gonna have a pomegranate popsicle and relax. mebbe some decaf earl gray...

need 3 new exhaust manifold studs, the ones on the piece I got are buggered (and one's missin')

trying to decipher the instructions to a magic back belt that smoky bought off the tv. he had his satellite all messed up trying to hook in a dvd player. I got his tv to work again (tomorrow is Nascar by gad) and am loading it in the drive to see if he needs to see it or if I can digest it and instruct him.

If we have to, I will have him come out here and watch it...

my parts won't be at the store until after 5. they hadda go to the warehouse. I do that a lot. always needing the weird ****.

but the kid that works weekends is a follower of mine, and he always pays attention and gets what I ask for. last time I went in, he was wearing a beret. I gave him a ration about turning french, we will see if he's still wearing it.

Ethan is his name. good kid. told him he could come out and see the shop some time. he thinks he wants a beetle...

and I got enough parts to stay busy the rest of the weekend. gonna fire up the welder a little too. getting ready for the big floorpan job on the 64 bug.

and I have a used 700r4 trans being delivered next week, so when mine loses the 1 - 2 shift completely we have a back-up ready to go. Ima open it up and lightly go through it first, just to make sure that I only hafta do it once.

the boys over to the salvage are gonna let me squeeze in and do it on the lift. should be able to do it in about 3 hours. (used to coulda done it in 2, but I'm rusty and feeble compared to the good old days)

still better'n doing it here on my back. I can't bring myself to do one that way again...

I hope you feel better. I am with Beth with giving you that "eye thing". - yeah...the STINK EYE.

We were at the ballfield from 12:00 to 6:30 today. I kept the "Official Book" the " Team Book" and kept pitch count for both games. We lost both. One we lost 15-14 and the other 6-4. So sad. We lost the second one in extra innings. Shoot. Shoot. Shoot. Shoot. Shoot.

I am a beyond goofy tired right now.
