@roger,
yeah but...

I got this truck as a straight swap for my old truck, which has a limping transmission. and the nose pushed over a half inch. and a salvage title. this one had a date with the crusher...

I get to use the parts off my old truck to get this one up to snuff.

a coupla days work, and a benjamin, and this will be a good truck for several years.

when you can do the work yourself, it gives a different perspective.

I can buy stuff that needs a buncha nickel and dime stuff and turn it to make 4 or 5 hundred when I get a bankroll to play with.

got a Honda out back that needs $500 worth of work to be a $2k car. dunno if I wanna keep it as a road car or make the cash. depends on how well I stay. so far I'm seeing big openings on the horizon of possibilities...

might even take a road sales gig and travel the country on occasion doing big car shows like I used to. got a friend owns a performance engine company that has a standing offer if I wanna play again. been too sick to even think aboot it until just recently...

who knows.

@Butrflynet,
I don't but probably should.

the coconut milk I use is not silk. I've tried their other products and like lactade and the so delicious brand coconut the best.

Ima try and take gram shopping tomorrow (prolly in the 4x4 unfortunately) and go to the IGA with her. my shopping venues are very limited here, what with my one man war against Krager. (although gram now hates them independently of me. she used to get really frustrated when I wouldn't shop there with her. I would take her, but refuse to get anything for myself. now she understands. they SUCK)

I am trying to use most of my newfound stamina out in the shop where I can pull $50 an hour. my salvation lies in productive use of hours right now. but maybe when I'm caught up I can look at sourcing coupons...

I did clean the cabin so it doesn't look like a storm victim photo so much. and all my dishes are clean and stacked...

@Rockhead,
Pistol Pete has some digestive issues - good grief. I don't think I can stand him sitting at my feet much longer.

I have been a busy girl today - I feel like I am about to pass out. So tired.

Going to bed. Nitey Nite. Hope you get a lot done.

Ummm....I will work on that tomorrow boss. I had my basket full today. Although I do have a job interview tomorrow...did I tell you that already?

I don't think I want to clean other folkses houses. It's just too hard. I turn all perfectionistic....which really is quite exhausting. Thank goodness that is not my norm.

Okay - I'm going.
hugs

@Rockhead,
I started obsessively using coupons about four months ago and have been able to save an average of $30 to $40 off the monthly grocery bill. Am starting to build quite a stockpile of stuff in the freezer and the pantry so we don't have to buy it as often and can wait to use coupons when the stores have their double coupon days. If you are lucky enough to have the right combination of coupons when the stores have good discounted sales, you can get some things for free. For many items, the store's in-house brand is still the cheapest even after the coupon discount.

@Butrflynet,
most of what I get now other than produce, is coming from the local version of whole foods. they are a no coupon no nonsense kinda high priced gig.

I'll look at it when I get some free time again. I shop at wally's looking for in store coupons a lot. most of my deli meat is reduced. and I buy freeze that day reduced meat a lot. got some boneless ribs that I oughta thaw out now that I mention it. smoky would enjoy that tomorrow.

maybe saturday would be better since Ima be mostly home working that day. dunno...

it's kinda cool.

I'm eating a tuna sammich that is free from all the crap I can't eat.

but a normal person would eat it and just think I had cute little designer bread.

it tastes like normal people food.

anyways. off to work on goldie...

ok. I don't care for gold vehicles, but.

cleaned up, this is a really pretty truck. kind of a coppery top color, and champagne gold middle color. I might even reshoot the hood some day so it looks sweet. lots of road rash on it and the top. part of getting old...

prolly not gonna put the window in tonight. but I will have it all detailed and cleaned out. Ima run gram around in the 4x4 so I don't have an "oh my god" incident while she is aboard, I know it will get back home...

popsicle break is over, back to work.

I'm done for tonight. pooped.

the interior of this truck looks new, except for the seat where he sat.

dunno that the back seat has ever been sat in.

I have no power to the radio either. that whole section of dash is dead. gonna run fuses tomorrow and find the bug, I would guess.

ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz...

@mismi,
Hope you, your family and your job interviews are no where near the tornado area in Alabama this morning.

Your instincts were definitely spot on last night when you said it felt like tornado weather.

Thank you Butrflynet. My job interview got cancelled because of the schools being closed early. I will have it Monday though. We are under moderate to severe warnings through 2AM this morning. We just have to sit and wait. But I got our "safe place" ready. (Rock calls it a "fraidy hole"). I got some yummy treats and we are set for bad weather - that hopefully will not come.
