@mismi,
hadda check and make sure my new Plecostomus was still kickin'...

got algae overtaking the 30, and the bigboy in there eats the cleaning crew if I'm not careful. (extra bloodworms for now)

we still have gale force winds, but I'm getting used to it again.

kinda like living in a wind tunnel lately.

off to plant stuff...

@Rockhead,
Somebody would likely have reviewed the tape and caught him anyway.

@Rockhead,
I don't know anything about chickens. I am about to let the boys raise some ducks though. I think...I have to read up about it. We would release them down at the lake.

@Rockhead,
We had several Bantams and Rhode Island Reds when I was a kid. I don't remember much about them other than they made great pets, got along well with all the other animals around our house, pooped a lot, and the roosters make so much noise that it makes your neighbor shut them up by shooting them.

I have a 5+ acre former horse farm that I am playing with.

no nebbors to speak of.

but I don't want to work it all the time. I want fresh chicken and eggs, and mebbe to sell some eggs. or give 'em to the senior center.

@Butrflynet,
I looked at boarding some horses, but I don't think I'm up to that at this point.

I might be getting a pony though.

(long story, and I won't keep it. it lives in someone's garage right now...)

@Rockhead,
I'm jealous about having all that gardening space... you could get a really good organic farm going there.

One of my childhood dreams was to be able to live on a farm.
