Guns.

My daughter wanted a pair of 80's style ripped up jeans, so about an hour ago I took a pair out to our shooting range and put about 10 rounds of 20 gauge low brass bird shot thru them at close range....30 feet....they look pretty cool already.

Were gonna wash them a few times, and draw out the fuzzy look....if she likes them I'll do a real pair, these were ruined jeans that I used to practice on. I used my bird gun, which is choked down pretty tight, so I actually blew a few nickel/quarter sized holes in them as well...but all the cooler in my opinion.

@2PacksAday,
*pulls out some sparkly gems and holds them in the light causing little rainbows to dance around the cave walls*

somedays the rainbow engulfs you, other days the guns shoot holes in the rainbow and rains on everyone's parade

them jeans sound very 80's pax.

might even have some stashed somewheres...

we don't allow no gunpowder in the cave, i'm more of a nitro guy myself.

rainbows are over-rated.

and leprechauns are mean as hell...

Skittles, shoot the rainbow.

@Rockhead,
I can deal with rainbows, much more so than tie-die....can't handle it, makes the caveman in me come alive...get all surley and start showing off by lifting heavy things and grunting a lot. Rainbows only induce a low growl....maybe kick a small animal.

My little sister is 7 years my younger, she is of the Strawberry Shortcake/Rainbow Bright era....ever watch a full episode of one of those....I'd rather watch a full weekend of Lifetime Networks most sobby made for tv movies marathon.

@Rockhead,
Someday when I get older, calmer, more accepting...."he's mellowed in his old age" type thing.

I'll set down and study Mr. Leary, and Kerouac...Lenny Bruce....and give Dylan another listen...I'll give the other side of the whole 60's counter culture a chance....I'm sure there is something there that I can enjoy...maybe....maybe.

"Rainbow bright is satan's daughter."

Well said sir, well said.

I used to watch her show, tho admittedly
I haven 't seen it in a while.

She did not impress me THAT way.

On reflection: I think Bea Arthur 'd be better at it.

@OmSigDAVID,
The first person that sprang to mind for being "nice" was Donna, as she is my benchmark for such a personality....or the Beavers mom....cleaning house in heels and pearls.

So, wholesome tv mom + Satan = Rainbow Bright....yeah, that sounds about right.

Satan + Bea Arthur...that's a hell of a combo....I'll have to think about that one.

chuckle of the day.

feeling really lousy, but the kid is over here trying to finish up all the little crap so we can fire his truck and he can learn to drive it.

anyways, he is mostly working alone and then asking for assistance when he gets stuck.

i am mostly sitting inside feeling crappy.

he comes in with a couple of too long bolts and a big grin. (we were gonna hafta go to the bolt store.)

I told him cool, find a nut that fits them, and the cutoff saw, and I would be out in a bit.

he looks straight at me and says,...

ok. where are your nuts?

I dint say anything, just shook my head. and he grimaced and walked away...
