@Rockhead,
I hope you rested well. This weekend was nuts. Glad for Monday - who says that?

We are all back up into baseball. Life is going to be nuts again!

@mismi,
we have sun, and it gets colder tomorrow...

gotta get some stuff done. I think Ima run over and get some gas to put in my truck. then we gotta sneak it over to the salvage on bad tags and no insurance. It will be the last trip it ever makes. parts it will become.

But I'm taking one home with me to make it live again, so my karma is ok...

Royals spring training begins verra soon. we are projected to be the second place team in the central. that's not happened in a long long time.

@Rockhead,
The van doesn't have it's tags either. But we do still have insurance on it. I just keep hoping we will sell the doggone thing.

I haven't looked at pro ball yet. Just trying to get the boys set up for theirs. I love their coaches. I think it will be a good season. Smile

Glad your Royals look to play well.

@mismi,
it's more that the twins, indians, and white sox are projected to be kinda lousy, but hey...

if we had 3 more quality starting pitchers, you never know...

glad your boys are getting fired up. I remember the first practice of the year, and running laps on still cold ground. Seems a lifetime ago...

@Rockhead,
Our ground is not so much cold as it is wet and mushy. yuck. The cleats stay in plastic bags unless they are on the feet at the park.

Yesterday the kids were all running around barefooted...at least those that were there to wait on the brothers that were practicing.

things are blooming already. Cherry trees, Japanese Magnolias - daffodils. I am sure we are going to get a few more cold snaps though...happens every year. Razz

I actually think back in 1993 it was 60 degrees and beautiful and overnight we got a snow storm that dropped 17 inches and had everything shut down for days. So...you just have to hang loose until May. Wink

@mismi,
we are overdue for a big snow. crossing fingers it stays mild like it has been. not using nearly as much wood as last season...

and I think mebbe discontinuing dairy has been an improvement. too early to say for sure, but I am not nearly as miserable as I have been up till last week.

too soon to say for sure.

Ima put on my pants and go work on something whilst it is 50. gonna drop for a few days, I needa get my wood straightened out, mebbe snow tomorrow...

@Rockhead,
sounds like a plan Stan

howsabout some rice crackers, little containers of fruit salad, veggie sticks (doesn't have to be carrots, non-dairy dip (it's one of the times it's good there's faux dairy), faux crab sticks

@ehBeth,
I'm not allergic to crabs yet. I think...

got the 4x4 back. whatever has been lurking in the background is coming forward. gonna unhook the battery and let the computer reset, then run to wally's and get some food, and gas for my truck so it can make the death run.

gonna pick up a friend's D-tag so I don't gotta be so blatantly illegal about the journey.

prolly hafta delay it until Wednesday now. gonna take the 4x4 over after I get done playing stagehand and run some more tests on it at the yard.

burnin' daylight we are...

@Rockhead,
the faux crab sticks are handy - because they're sticks - fit into baggies ... good hot or cold ... work with veggie dip when cold ... fast source of protein for non-sardine lovers ... often cheap cheap cheap

I like inexpensive, portable snacks. Crab sticks are a non-dairy alternative to cheese string.

@ehBeth,
I eat those every day. Look at the ingredient list carefully, RH. Some of them have wheat starch in them.

hmmmmm.

knock sensor wiring connector is my best guess until I can get underneath on dry ground with a flashlight.

the computer pings it to set timing and is not finding it.

a crappy transmission installation might explain it.

knowing who put the transmission in it, that's actually verry likely.

I might even fix it before I try to take it to town in the mornin'...

@ehBeth,
I bought some fake crab, but I could not find any grated horseradish. nor could I manage to convey to either of the employees I asked what horseradish was to allow them to assist me in finding any.

I make a killer cocktail sauce, and anything from a jar disappoints dramatically.

I'll stop at colwich IGA tomorrow and get some.

also got some soy milk. meh...

and a roasted chicken I ate half of for dinner. the other half will be chicken soup.

gotta hurry up and crash. 5 am will be here any minute...
