smoky thought so too. I stopped in to check on him before I go tow the splitter back from up north.

he asked if there was enough left for him to have them again for dinner...

warms my heart. he never compliments anything...

hella sunset tonight.

Good! I hope they help you resolve the gut issues and head aches in a more timely manner. I hope they give you something to ease the symptoms while trying to figure it out, at least.

@JPB,
at the halfway point in my day.

over to mr vw's (dunno where he went)to eat a canna soup and take a shower so's I don't look like a homeless guy.

4x4 is done. fixed. finito.

it was wires, just like I thought it to be. makes me feel like a mechanic when that happens.

gonna swap it for the s10 tonight so I can put a new heater core in it.

ugh. 6 hours and pull the whole flippin' dash out of it...

and I have purchased a new truck. (it looks verra much like my old truck, but it is old man gold instead of burgandy) gonna go put a window in it, and swap the steering column from my old one (somebody attempted a theft on this one...) and bring a battry for it, and drive it home.

mebbe Monday...

gonna wait until the weather blows through, it's sitting wide open over to the salvage. not the place to be playing in the snow...

(saw the sunrise this morning. it's overrated)

@Rockhead,
Sounds busy. Smile

I am sleepy already - but I have been up since 5:00am...did Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and was pretty much crippled the rest of the day. Tomorrow I am pretty sure I will be eating ibuprofen like candy.

Got some things done though.

It finally quit raining.

sheesh...

got up twice to dump buckets. still got a hella wet floor in the plant room.

I pity anyone gets this later on as a snow storm. we got a helluva lot of moisture in a short time...

me and smoky are gonna go over and wait at wally's while they fill our prescriptions.

I stopped last night, but they said the wait would be 2 hrs. I don't think so, Willis...

gonna take a mulligan today.

it's cold and wet and yucky out.

it's toasty warm and snuggly in here...

the sound of the water gurgling in the fish tanks and the crackle of the wood stove...

stinky wishing I would quit typing so he could replace the keyboard in my lap...

test results: negative on everything we were looking to find.

prognosis:

who the hell knows, he didn't even remember me.

but ever onward, I have discontinued my affair with dairy. for now.

and I seem less uncomfortable so far...

and I am taking some weird sorta kinda anti-migraine pill every night before bedtime.

so far so good. one night in...

went on a keystone cops run yesterday with smoky. two steps forward, one step sideways, watch the potholes...

got me some awesome graham crackers they was samplin' at the whole food place. (gotta $top that)

and I am carrying the camera, but ain't been able to get back over to where the eagles are. nor to where the great snowy owls were last seen ...

(smoky has no patience for such things. and the birds don't care for ceegar smoke much)

we ate half of my big giant sized tin of sardines.

hmmmm.

the cats definitely were more into it than I was...

I hafta filet them and get the bones out. can't do with the crunching of bones in teeth. (insert spine crawly here)

once I did that, it was mostly just the skin that bothered me. (thank god they had the heads removed. I don't do eyeballs verra well either)

I ate 3, and stinky and bubba got a half each. (stinky did not like the bones either, so there)

In other news, I am 3 days milkless, and feeling much betterer. time will tell...

we are at the anniversary of my attempt to be gluten free, and there are some less auspicious milestones rolling up on us as well, but they are best left disremembered in America)

Question.

now that my appetite is returning a little, how does one make scrambled eggies without milk to make them fluffy?

thanks in advance...

@Rockhead,
milk flattens eggs

a teaspoon or so of water is all you need to make the eggs fluffy

(milk + eggs = flat scramble)

(my dispenser won't give room remperature water, which would be kinda chilly anyways)

@ehBeth,
these ones here on the prairie were not what I would consider small.

inch thick, three to four inches long (without the head and tail)

you'll hafta do your own mm conversions...

mebbe it's texas sardines I'm getting.

everything is bigger in texas, ya know...

@Rockhead,
cold or room temp water

you don't want hot water - it'll start cooking the eggs before they get to the pan, and not in a good way

we were taught about water not milk for eggs back in high school

@Rockhead,
good lord, I don't think I've ever seen a sardine that big!

we usually get six in a tin - the tin is about an inch deep and about 3 x 4 inches square
