The iPad is out!

Interesting stuff.... i like it myself but unsure if i could pay for the internet side of the services.

my work laptop is a toughbook with a touch screen. basically, the ipad is a large itouch, or the screen of my laptop. interesting, but not worth it. itll be $300 in 6 months.

I look forward to the progression of these devices, but I'll wait until the Android versions will become available. Once iTunes is mentioned, I have to hold back from vomiting.

android tablet... that sounds like heaven.... i rather have than than my cell phone so people dont have to bother me.

dont multitask, no webcam, no HDMI port, no flash. i am not impressed!

I'm not clear what the iPad (awful name) is supposed to be. I have owned iMacs since they came out in the late 90's. I just bought a 27" one. I wanted an iPhone, but after owning my Droid for two months or so, I don't think I'm missing anything not having an iPhone. I like Apple products, but this one? It's like an iPod touch that has a gland problem. Is there a market for something like this? It's not a phone. It's not a computer. I have no interest in it. Of course, I said the same thing when the iPod came out in 2001. So what do I know? Anyone on the forum wanting one?

It would be a nice, lightweight alternative to a laptop or netbook, and I'm sure prices will drop as more models come out with MORE features. But I'm pretty happy with the Droid's ability to seamlessly go from Wi-Fi to 3G and back... something the iPad can't do... yet.

I hate apple and am glad they came out with this BS. They made a cool phone a few years back and now everything jobs whips his hind parts with is supposed to be golden. When is the iphone wave gonna run out for apple? When will the brainwashed stop locking into this closed system. Guess for apple sticking a bitten apple and a 500+ price tag on something is reveloutionizing it.

What will ultimately prove to be the iPad's downfall is the lack of Flash, something we know is coming to Android (most especially, our beloved Droids).
