@Setanta,
Nobody has, and I'm sure a few are surprised that you're posting Marylin Manson.

Rapalje are some Neo-Celtic musicians from Holland.

They're great! My daughter and I share this playlist which I put together on YouTube. Here, they perform The Crown and The Ring in medley with the omnipresent Morrison's Jig:

In case your wondering, the original is by Manowar, a bombastic 'gamer' metal group. This is their version of their song, which sounds like the evil love child of Aerosmith and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir . . . wait! That's Willard Romney. Sorry:

@plainoldme,
I was so bored and broke last summer that I considered getting tatooed . . . all over . . .and joining Manowar at the Magic Circle Festival. I told a musician friend that and, without batting an eyelash, he said, "I'm glad you brought that up because when I saw you today, I was going to suggest it to you."

Rapalje also does a great cover of Jimmy McCarthy's Ride On, made famous by Christie Moore. While Rapalje probably isn't better than Christie . . . who would be . . . the instrumentation is great and they're so cute in their kilts.

Alright, I can't stop!

How about these boys from Poland doing Trimartolod, which is more familiarly done by Alan Stivell. You may notice that Polish has more syllables than Breton!

I promise this will be the last posting tonight but how could I not post Colm Wilkinson's version of Gethsemane from Jesus Christ, Superstar? Colm originated the role of Jean Valjean in Les Miz and also appeared as the Phantom in POTO. He's one of my favs.

This is not really a cover. Really not. But I can guarantee that it is Fred Eaglesmith as you never saw him before . . .
