@wandeljw,
I meant to post last night.What a good version. I remember Chris from a grunge band some time ago.
Very moving voice he has.

@Ticomaya,
While my favorite version is sung by John Cale, I like Cohen's.

I like covers that bring something new to a song. Here's a surprising one by Old School Freight Train, a folk group, covering Blondie's Heart of Glass . . .http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4dc0CiMGw8&feature=PlayList&p=81BF6294ECC62219&index=27

@sullyfish6,
That is such a great song. Hey, Leon Russell still puts on a great show. Saw him a few years back at Johnny D's in Somerville.

Eddie Vedder doing Dylan's Masters of War.

Tom Waits is being covered a great deal now and there is a fine recording dedicated to Townes Van Zandt.

Great to see you POM. My last one tonight.
Eddie seems to be born to sing Dylan.

On a similar note Buddy Miller nails Dylan's With God On Our Side

@wandeljw,
I love Chris Cornell from the Seattle grunge band, Soundgarden and I started listening to this song with a great skepticism ... which lasted for about 30 seconds. Then the completely reworked guitar instrumentation burrowed into my brain and I knew this version was great.

What if a song had 10 covers? How would they riff on the theme? Vote yay or nay on these covers.

@panzade,
I like the Gregorian chant one. David Bowie is a little out of key - his heart is in the right place, but I like John Lennon's version better.

This is my favorite cover of all time in terms of music:

@aidan,
By the way that cover of that song - Gin and Juice, rap classic by Snoop Dogg was wrongly attributed to Phish - it's actually sung and performed by the Gourds and they are some pretty awesome musicians with a great sense of humor who deserve credit for their wonderful rendition.

@panzade,
The Gregorians cover songs you may not expect them to.
