I thought Inglorious Bastards approved of nazis too much. It didnt object to what the Nazis did because the heroes did the same. It simply wanted to change who was doing it to who.

It's Tarantino. One shouldn't expect enlightened discourse or social commentary in his mostly shock and awe leaning films.

Yeah, they were all great entertainment. It is just as an ex-soldier I like movies that try to explain to the civvies something of what it is like to serve. I watched Up with my young boys, and District 9 with my older boys. Very enjoyable....

I was going to say all and then that same film came to mind and I had to edit before I posted.

What high class sandwich shops do you guys have down under? And do I need a visa to move to Australia so I can partake in the gourmet feast? What city should I move to?

We have them all....Subway, ...ahh...no, thats it. Just Subway. Melbourne is widely recognised as the city of restaurants. Every second person owns a restaurant and they have great variety and competition. Sydney has its night life...Brisbane has the Gold Coast...Darwin has the sunset walk along the boulevard (highly recommended - food stalls and flea market beside the beach)..Perth has knife fights...Adelaide has undrinkable water...Canberra has museums (and politicians ! Gross !) and Hobart...well no-one knows where Hobart is so it doesnt matter.

sign me up for a knife fight, and then lets pour some of that undrinkable water on the wound!

Sometimes I feel that the Oscars is more about clothing then it is about the movies.

I hope they joke on Avatar all night. Though no amount of joking will take away from the crap load of money he has made off it.
