Indeed. It was issues by the chamber of commerce of M.Gladbach. After 1960 the city was named Mönchengladbach. The signatures are from Alfred Croon and Kurt Apelt which were head of the chamber. Croon also became mayor of the city. On the front there is Mercury which was also the God for commerce. On the background you see chimneys since M.Gladbach was an industrial city of textile and machine industry. The day the 'voucher' came out it was worth: $ 0,96 = Euro 19,55 = Goldmarks 4,01; 37 kg bread, 222 kg potatoes, 2,2 kg meat, 125 kg coal & 1 kg butter. With the same design denominations of 50k, 100k, 500k, 1 million & 5 millions exist.
