how can i tell if water pump is pumping

One clue, your rig will overheat right quick.

if it is not leaking, wobbly or making noise, it is probably ok.

what is it that makes you think this?

i was watching it yesterday without fan gaurd and it sems to not be circulating top and bottom hose neither seem to have much pressure ,truck running or not and when it started to heat up a little the overflow tank was full but wasnt flw to radiater thanks for reply

the system must reach 210 degrees before the thermostat will open, and allow the coolant to flow.

when it's cold, that can take quite a while.

if it's low on fluid, it can take forever...
