@ossobuco,
Too much trash and Cinéma vérité for my taste.

@tsarstepan,
I will say there is a fair degree of reportial photography going on here, that's true. Community debauch isn't alway tidy, though. Or are you talking staging..

Didge, I went through them again, thinking I agree with you on your favorite...
and then hit number 15, as a so human picture -

@ossobuco,
No, I don't think these photographs are staged. As a subject, community debauch isn't particularly noteworthy in my books.

You could say there is some bits of an accidental Hopperesque nature in some of these photographs ...

Most of the blurry snapshots are cheap, celebrity-less Page 6 knockoffs.

@tsarstepan,
Ah, community debauch is in part mine, not arguing, just that street life and its history is an attractant to me, in many forms. I'm also scared of some of it. I find Hopper's paintings stiff, but I'm glad he painted them.

The first photo that I put on, Oxford - I don't think of as street life, more as a protected bubble.

I don't mind focus being fuzzy especially in caught snaps, even snaps of pros. Fuzzy on purpose, I'm plus and minus on that. My own camera focus has changed over time with my eyes, as has that of a whole lot of other folks.

@ossobuco,
New York Post

The best-known gossip section is "Page Six", created by the late James Brady and currently edited by Richard Johnson. February 2006 saw the debut of Page Six Magazine, distributed free inside the paper. In September 2007 it started to be distributed weekly in the Sunday edition of the paper. In January 2009, circulation for Page Six Magazine was cut to four times a year.

I'm rethinking my title - I meant that the lesson of not-to-drink-to-excess was not my main point, or only one of the points, photography being the driving interest for me. Not that this is all a lesson on how to photograph. I've watched photography for a long time and am still working out my takes.
