Ooooooh, poor baby!

(I like the new one better, too. Good choice.)

@the prince,
Quote:
GW, the reason they did that is because it is almost impossible to steal the modern cars without their keys.

Key word here: almost. Rank amateurs is all I can say. When I was working in the juvenile justice system in Boston, teaching budding young juvenile delinquents how to write a complete sentence and how to spell Mississippi, I had several pupils who swore the car ignition system had not yet been invented that they couldn't bypass. Might take a minute or so, might involve needing to pop out the entire ignition, but the car would be driven off post-haste. These were kids 13 to 17 years of age but professionals to the core.

And it was not so much the car which got stolen, but the fact that someone was bold enough to come into my house - it is a feeling of being violated.

Ah, yes. I quite sympathize -- and empathize -- with that. The knowledge that someone can come into your home while you are there and rip you off is a daunting thought.

Sorry for your loss, Prince, but congrats on the new b'day-themed vehicle

@Merry Andrew,
no car is theft proof.

best is to have a car nobody wants to steal.

(my condolences on your loss)

@Rockhead,
I live in a lower middle squatsplatch, duplexville. Some folks have nice cars, some of us have oldies but goodies. My duplex associate bought a new old vdub.
(we both park in our driveways). One bleak morning her new to her vw was gone...

What can I say, my car is a dodo, which is a good thing.

Meantime, so glad to see zee prince here, wanting to hear more, G.
