@danon5,
Hey Dan (you been cklikcing well, love) and Stradiddlydee (how ya doing gal?) (((Bethie, Alex))) et al

Apols for not being around too much - been getting back out into the world and moving forward - managing to do a bunch of things I never thought I could - so for moi, that's great news Very Happy Been cklikcing with my camera too http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/izzielzzie454 - garden has sprouted green everywhere dotted with colour - super stunning and the weather has been unusually good in the UK - long sunshiny days, been going to the beach and taking up new activities.

Dan - hoping Patti is doing well right now - know the MS is debilitating - so glad that you have each other. I went tandem paragliding yesterday - it was unbelievably good, had lots of help and the folk taking us up were just fantastic - such a good day. Hugging you back Dan, big hugs and love. x

Stradiddlydoo - ooooooooooh, hoping you have a wonderful party today Very Happy ENJOY ENJOY. Big hugs to you and mucho love hun. x

off to mow the lawn - rains due in tommorow, and we need it - so grass needs a haircut today.

@High Seas,
High Seas, the birds "see" very different patterns in leaves and the petals of flowers that we humans can't see. Strange but true.
Nice links - thanks.

@danon5,
Yes, they see into the infrared and the ultraviolet; birds of prey also "zoom" into distant motion, and all birds can detect magnetic lines. Which reminds me - I've a book you and Patti will like, but I don't have your address. Please send it to me by IM if you read this before tonight - have to leave for a month and won't be posting - and if not, I'll just send it to Stradee to send on to you. Meanwhile, happy smiling trees to all clickers here Smile

You take care and enjoy youself, but, don't try and overdo things...... It's not worth the effort and the aftereffects. This is --- "Spring Fever" months you know.

Take it easy, the puffballs under the bed will be there next year - with their grandkids!!!! Then you can get the whole shebang...!!!

Hye Dan..ha, didn't last lond i little overdooood, very busy hard day at work today and slept when I got home... want to wake up tomorrow like I felt on Friday and Satruday - frustrated as heck today. Better day tomorrow I hope... meant to be taking 19 kids and parents sailing for 2 hours - I won't be sailing for obvious reasons but I wanna be there taking pics of them - but the weather has turned absolutely appalling and is worsening tomorrow with severe weather watches been in force. Don't think I wanna put the littlies in dinghys in heavy rain for their first session - I reckon they will not enjoy it and I don't want to risk them being scared off for the next 5 session - its gonna be cats and dawgs rain and some of the kids are only wee little loves. Will call the sailing instructor in the morning and he can make the call when we see what the conditions are like.

Suns not due back for a few days - so maybe next Tuesday - we'll see

Crciked and creaked for sure tonight. Going to bed.

((((((((Stradiddledeesome, Bethie, Dan & Patti)))))))))) xx

good days to y'all. xxxxxxxxxx

Good day all ~ From HS to wildclicker animal lovers everywhere...Very Happy

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/.a/6a00d8341c630a53ef013483804a76970c-580wi

A Good Samaritan helped authorities rescue a wayward deer in Riverside County by lassoing the animal as it swam in 12-foot water in the All American Canal, officials said Monday.

The deer was rescued from the canal in the Coachella area shortly before noon Sunday. The animal may have fallen in the canal while taking a drink as the region baked in temperatures that topped 100 degrees, the county Department of Animal Services said.

A Riverside County animal control officer and a state Fish and Game warden tried to rescue the mule deer with ropes, the department said. At one point, the warden swam in the canal and tried to coax the animal out of the water.

In the end, the Samaritan was able to use his rope to help haul the deer to safety, the department said.
The deer was placed in an air-conditioned truck for observation and was released near Berdoo Canyon Road, according to the department.
