There were some statements made that suggest that thay do.

we do not know whether the mother (& grandmother) was a Christian.
A lot of Brazilians are Christians.

Nice sentiments, David. You seem to have changed your tune regarding the situation with David Goldman.

There was no change.
I was always sympathetic to his plight,
but I was MORE sympathetic to the natural personal right to liberty of Sean Goldman,
who was screwed out of them and humiliated by the Brazilian judiciary.

Thay were satisfied to simply and conclusively ASSUME
that he is too stupid even to testify, let alone to decide
where he will reside. However, I must concede that Sean
is an American; therefore, the Brazilians have no duty let him live in their country.

As a sovereign country, thay have the right to throw out
an American for any reason, or for no reason.

I think you confuse the word stupid for lack of maturity and experience.

U r just trying to put the proverbial lipstick on the proverbial pig.
He got screwed out of his natural rights because thay thought
he was too stupid even to LISTEN to him, the same
as if custody of a horse or a dog were in dispute.

Its not just lack of experience.
Judges accept the testimony of inexperienced people all the time.
Very plainly:
thay rejected him because thay deemed him too stupid, because of his age.

It was like spitting on him.

Years ago, Ed Sullivan had a long line of people on his stage,
of whom he took a survay, seriatim, qua which was
each of their favorite Christmases; overwhelmingly:
it was their 10th Christmas. That was true for me also.

The 9th Christmas was very similar in character; very special.
If Sean Goldman 's mother was a Christian, and her family
the same, then Sean probably cared a lot about Christmas.

I certainly woud have. I certainly DID.
