@msolga,
I have.

And I find it works well.

Though sometimes I look. One can do that.

@dlowan,
I think I'd end up looking. Which sort of makes doing it a waste of time, really.

@dlowan,
I had problems (as a result of my new email address), which I tried to explain to Gravatar. We sort of got our wires crossed & I got nowhere. I'll have another go soon.

I find irony rather magnetic, but unfortunately too metallic for my taste, I guess I'm just getting a bit rusty.

@dlowan,
I look every month or so - sometimes to discover that the ignored went away away away. The temptation to peek becomes less and less over time. Wonderful option. I wouldn't countenance these folks in real life, why should I here?

@ehBeth,
Before I was distracted with my argument on torture, I was heading somewhere. People who are ostracised, or as you put it, you wouldnt countenance, are the people who commit these massacres. Every time you abuse someone you are guilty of a mild form of mental torture. Slapping a child to get it to do what you want is a mild form of physical torture. Pain never hurt anyone. It is the mental damage that usually goes with it that is a problem. People who try to stop the torture by shooting everyone are trying to get even. They are trying to stop the mental anguish.

The Major had to believe his patients. He had to empathise with their suffering. It is standard psychological practice. Perhaps he didnt have the emotional strength to deal with the problems of others, which is a reflection on how we select professionals.

Perhaps he was ostracised by ordinary people like you, who inflict mental torture everyday without a second thought.

Originally I thought it unlikely that Hasan was connected to a terrorist group. Show's you what I know. There is now evidence that he, at least, tried to contact al Qaeda leaders.

But no, the fact that he's a Muslim has no bearing on this tragedy. It was pre-post traumatic distress disorder or projected PTTD.

War creates people like Hasan the way second-hand smoke gives non-smokers cancer.

How did a guy like this who didn't want to be in the Army stay in the Army?

@edgarblythe,

You apparently lump all Muslims into the one category, despite the fact mass killings by non Muslims occur all the time. I can hear you in the 19th Century proclaiming, "The only good Indian is a dead Indian."

Yet another glib comment.

Their name is Legion on A2K.

Since you've concluded that I "lump" all Muslims into a single group of crazed killers, you should be able to offer some evidence of same.

There is plenty of evidence within the archives of A2K that I have on repeated occasions argued that Islam should not be judged by Islamist terrorists.

Can't say for sure, of course, but I'm going to bet that I've studied the teachings of Islam at least as much as, and probably more, than you have.

I think those archives will also reveal a far greater extent of religious tolerance than is exhibited by you and your fellows. Such tolerance doesn't apply only to exotic, non-Western religions.

What is it edgar?

You think you know all that is needed to be known about Evangelical Christians and lumping them together is not much of a problem.
