You did it right this time. But it looks like the server hosting that image does not allow hotlinking (the method through which remote images are displayed here).

Hold on, only you can see it because it's in your browser cache. Others can't because of teh hotlink thing.

I gotta run to a meeting but I'll explain more later.

Is it possible, using BBCode, to "wrap text around the image?"

Ruach,

It's not displaying and won't display as long as that image is hosted where it is at.

zrock,

No it's not possible with standard BBCode. I do not know of any BBcode mod that does that either.

Laughing timber, your house is just like mine.

craven, it is hosted on www.grovestreet.com. Which I learned about on a2k.
I don't know what else to do.

and I seem to have the problem that the images that I have are to big to put in an a2k album. Is there a way to re-size an image store on my hard drive? They're way over 1024kb at the moment...

bigdice, try www.irfanview.com and download their free image processing program ... its fairly compact, not particularly feature-endowed, but it offers a very simple re-sizing feature which allows you to specify the size of the image in terms of "X" byte by"Y" bytes or by filesize, while retaining image proportions. Naturally, downsizing works better than upsizing. I use it when I'm too lazy to open PhotoShop.

What I did,Ruach, was to copy the properties of your broken link, go to the image on the website, load it onto my machine, then upload it to a website that does allow hotlinking. I don't really suggest you use the same website, though ... its on MSN Groups, and the URLs are hellaciously long. Here's the URL for your image (I've broken it up so it doesn't stretch this page)

Code:
http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0SAATA
wkVp!YuT9ETiBoCjwjjoPOdo*y!yJPagrfPk
LFLv3eMz8X2j5jMiKIO!7Of99VOGdAxKZS

AApHKUAg/252921.jpg?dc=467543828139
1779286

There are better choices out there.

grovestreet does not allow hotlinking of individual photos - they rotate the address of the photos each day. you can post addresses for albums grovestreet as they remain constant.

Irfanview has definitely made my life easier. I use the software from my scanner to manipulate/edit photos, and then use irfanview for sizing (it's more intuitive than the scanner software). The i.t. guys at work lovvvvvve irfanview. Makes things easy for the idjits like me, so we don't bug them as much.
