Did not work.

This has to be downloaded to your files, then taken from your files copied then posted.

I'm still learning how to use my art work from my home files, and I never downloaded to my files.

See if you can find the same one that uses no download. I have seen some on the net

Sorry,

No it isn't. The image just has to be already on the web, and be hotlinkable. If the image is not on the web, or is not hotlinkable, copy it to your machine, upload it to a site from which it will be hotlinkable, such as ImageShack®, and use that link between your [IMG] tags.

I just learned how to do it through ImageShack. Like anything else, it's simple once you know how.

Ditto Timber.
ImageShack is incredibly easy to use, and you don't even have to sign up.
Just use "Browse" to find the picture on your PC, the hit "Host It."
Bingo! There it is.
If you click "Get Links", you'll get the exact text you need to copy and
paste to a forum. Try it!

I had to put the URL in the img box but all it came up with is this. Is your pic on site that won't allow pics to be uploaded? I remember craven was saying that sites such as geocities will not allow it.

What I get when I chase that URL:
Quote:

File Transfer: Incorrect link

You have clicked on an invalid or stale link.
Use only links generated by YouSendIt. Any modifications made to the generated link will be rejected. Here is an example of a valid link generated by YouSendIt:

http://www.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=012345678901234567890123456789AB

Once the download instructions are shown you must start your download within 60 seconds to avoid a stale link. If you wait longer than 60 seconds before starting the download you must go back and click on the original generated link.

Seems to me your problem there is that is not an image hosting site, its essentially a file-transfer site, based on e-mail.

Timberlandko I know your busy, but could you please somehow educate us on these types of image problems, please, please. I was just trying to help someone understand perspective, and the images keep disappearing. Sad

Boephe, perhaps the hot link (direct link) to your image is not allowed by the policy of that site.

With the particular image in question, that appears to be the case; that's a valid image url - it directs to an image, but it seems the image host prevents hotlinking. However,

The closing tag in Boephe's example above lacks the forward slash prefix ( / ); it should be typed [/IMG], not [IMG], as Broephe did in that example.

Could anyone explain to me if they have time, why when I post a pic from photobucket it's ginormous and stretches the page? I don't wanna be a page stretcher!

Because some pictures are big?

Imageshack.us allows you to resize the image, if desired, when you host it there. Not sure if photobucket gives you that option or not.
