This is too funny.

OK, now it should only take me a week to figure out how. I found where it said Invite People--but if people show up, I wonder if I can figure out how to let them in. (Haven't found that yet.)

But OK Rog. As soon as I figure it out.

Nice to see you BTW.

And, I'M NOT nekkid. Other people are. Actually, the pics sort of vacillate between cute and hideous. But, we can store gifs there, and be completely irresponsible.

All in all, a good plan.

Frig. My attempts (to send invitations) were unsuccessful.

Oh well. I'll try again tomorrow.

Rog--don't be such a hermit! I've missed seeing you around. Did you see thorman?

Had to delete everything after the ? so it ends with .jpg

And then put [img ] and [/img] around it.

Well, you've got the concept, sat - but that image, at its native 1024x768 pixels, really is too large for a web forum. Not only does it stretch the page, it really slows page loading, particularly for folks with slower connections. For really large images, its considerate either just to provide a link to the image, or to download large originals to your machine, re-size them with something like IrfanView so they're no bigger than about 800x600 pixels - even 640X480 will display pretty large, and smaller often is even better - then upload the resized image to a free hosting site, such as ImageShack[/i][/u], and link the smaller image between your tags. Another way to go - easy enough with ImageShack (provided you read and follow the instructions  ), is to upload the full-size image, then post a clickable thumbnail of the larger image, like this:

Cool - you got it. Just for giggles, that is a huge image - here's what it looks like full-size on a 21" monitor at 1280x1024 resolution:

http://img57.echo.cx/img57/9104/spicture8aq.jpg

Only about a qurter of it displays. Really, there's not much point in posting a picture which can't be displayed in its entirety on a single screen.

How about this (w.r.t. the size)?

Oh yeah - now I got the hang of it too! I must say this has got to be one of my most admired photos in the political arena:

the debonair dashing French foreign minister Dominique De Villiiepin with the beautiful and talented vice PM of Ukraine Yulia Timonshenko - I love her braid!! As soon as my hair grows to the appropriate length, I'm styling my hair like so. Razz

Not that she was bad looking in the first pic, but I think she looks absolutely gorgeous in this pic. I wonder what makeup she uses.

Timberlandko, please I need to know a little more about images and credits. The proper way to use them and give the credit to those websites that ask for it.

Thank you,

AE

First, bear in mind this ain't nothing official, its my take. That said, I'd say if you wish to be nit-picky on the side of safety and propriety, cite the source of the image, state the image is subject to copyright, identify the copyright holder, if necessary under terms of the copyright (it isn't always necessary to obtain specific permission; see the copyright disclaimer for the material at issue), secure and document the image owner's specific permision for your use of that image prior to posting it, indicate you have posted the copyrighted material with permission or otherwise in accordance with the provisions of the copyright, and reference or link to that source's copyright disclaimer. If you are in doubt concerning your right to present a particular image here, I think it would be best just to link to the image, rather than place the link to that image between [IMG] tags for actual display on this website.

Brad Templeton presents a fairly concise discussion of copyright as applicable to web use in his article HERE
