@Region Philbis,
Were they easy to house train? I love the way they look....they have lovely expressions on their faces. I'm looking to get another pet. I'm trying to not be impulsive since I've recently lost my beloved Sam( my avatar).

@Germlat,
Ohhhhhhhhh - This photo in today's SFGate Day in Pictures

This dog reminds me of Dyslexia and Diane's dear Sallydog. Known as My Sally when I see her.

Cross-country canine: Animal Services officers in Hillsboro, Ore., are trying to figure out how a Jack Russell terrier missing from a home outside Philadelphia ended up nearly 3,000 miles away in Tualatin, Ore. A microchip implanted in dog, named Gidget, revealed her owner and hometown. Gidget, who was found by a good Samaritan, was a little thin after her journey, but otherwise in good condition.

Don't ever been embarrassed for being vulnerable over the loss of a beloved pet.

They are the rarest of friends. Someone you can be completely yourself with, and loves you no matter what.

Thanks for that....apparently that may be a sign of weakness to some.

I don't think it's a sign of weakness to anybody.

Who is anyone to tell another they can't feel sadness at a loss?

@chai2,
Geez..,you'd be surprised...I responded wholeheartedly to a person who started a thread as " just lost my best friend"... Or something like that. I offered support...the person went on to say HE HAD NO EMOTIONAL connection to the dog he just lost....I think he's embarrassed to feel grief...but he also insulted those that were willing to provide support . People are odd.

Doorbell flushes dog out of rabbit hole
Henry, a border terrier, was rescued from a rabbit hole after it barked at the sound of its owner’s doorbell

http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/03049/PX83375680007007DE_3049109b.jpg

A DOG trapped in a rabbit hole for four days was saved by a doorbell.
Henry, a seven-year-old border terrier, vanished while on a walk in Prestbury, Cheshire, on Sept 14.
After a three-day search, the dog’s owner, Beverley Leonard, called the fire service, which sent its animal rescue unit. Even after a search using specialist cameras to look into rabbit holes, Henry could not be seen or heard.
When one of the crew remarked that the search would be easier if Henry barked, Ms Leonard remembered that the dog only ever barked at her doorbell.
She returned home, removed the bell from the wall, and, using an amplifier, spent three hours playing the noise down every rabbit hole.

Finally, Henry responded and the firemen returned to free the dog.
Ms Leonard said: “They had to saw through a holly bush and dig until they got to Henry. When they got him up it was like we had won the World Cup.
Everyone was cheering and so happy that Henry was fine.”
She praised the firemen: “They were so helpful and responded really quickly. Every one of them was incredibly sympathetic and they didn’t want to leave even when we thought all was lost.”
Henry is now back at home and in good health.

Jack Russels are histerically funny. I particularly enjoy when they jump in place? I call it the the pretend pogo stick game
