i just watched it on pbs and found it very interesting. i've heard everyone say how we weren't prepared for the post-war and how it's a quagmire but i wasn't aware of just how COMPLETELY unprepared we were.
the looting was predicted and could have been prevented. the scope of the policing job was severely underestimated.
a few scenes struck me. 1st was one man who put his hand in a pool of blood of a dead iraqi civilian and shaking his fist says "this is the freedom they want to give us?" and there were a couple of scenes were it seemed the the US soldiers trained to kill were expected to use that same training to police and ended up killing civilians.
