Can anyone help me with a translation please!

I had the words "Amo et spero" as a tattoo a few years back as a translation of the phrase "I love and I hope". but I've been told now it may not be right as "I" isn't used in latin... I have no idea what I have written now!!

Anyone??

@1967robbie,
You wrote the correct Latin translation of "I love and I hope."

In Latin the word "amo" means "I love."
"You love" (singular) is "amas."
"He loves" is "amat."

You're fine.

@George,
Brilliant, thanks a lot for that... I couldn't have faced the laser to remove it!
