I think the "International" part is what's screwing things up.

Listen to this dlowan. When you say it's "intermittent" this sounds even more like the problem, as the international keyboard (which I use) only makes some of the accented characters after a certain key sequence.

If you aren't interested in those characters that keyboard layout is a huge pain in the butt (even for someone who knows the layout well).

@dlowan,
OK. On Vista, the language bar should display both the input language (on the left) and the keyboard layout (on the right). Click the keyboard layout (US-International), and select US instead.

@DrewDad,
Well, I did what you said, and we''ll see what happens.

Quote stuff still wacky.

Hasn't made an umlaut....but I have to press twice to get any quote marks, and then there are two!

Single quote/apostrophe still problematic, too.

I trust you've seen the League of Gentlemen?

Ok, so it's a little dark. Twisted. Sick. Really sick. But you liked Python, right?

They also have a new thing running in the UK now called "Psychoville".

The old sitcom "Leave it to Beaver" was very funny (and made you feel good about life).
