AUTOMATIC WEAPONS: Am I the Only One in A2K Who LOVES 'em?

Its been too long since the last time that I worked out with them.
My favorites r the MP5 and the MAC 11,
tho generally, submachineguns r tons of fun.

I don't mean to imply anything against full belt-fed machineguns,
but thay r less portable than submachineguns.

I just LOVE the fun stuff that we see them do
on Mythbusters and on Timewarp.

Who else among us loves to work out with automatic weapons ?

Its only that u ardently WISH that I did not have any friends, Nick,
but alas, your dream has not come to fruition.

Not much crime is committed with fully automatic weapons,
nor even semi-automatic shoulder weapons.

In any case, my rights r not affected
by someone else 's poor judgement.

If too many other citizens drive getaway cars from bank robberies,
I still have a right to drive, tho admittedly that right
is not protected by the Bill of Rights as my right to KABA is.

I think that youre too emotionally invested in automatic weapons. Eg. , you are the only one I reacll, to have even started a thread about how much you LOVE auto weapons.
WE had a raffle at the gun club once. It involved having the winner sit down behind a 30 cal maxhine gun and blow the hell out of a piece of B/C 1/2" plywood. The guy that won was escorted to the range and was given tutorial on firing the weapon and (hopefully) tearing up the plwood. We all watched, envious that we didnt win the 10$ prize (All money went into a fund for some kind of kids n guns thing , I dont recall).
The guy fired the weapon and tore the **** out of the plywood. He fired about 50$-100$ worth of ammo ( I guess that was reload cost), and when it was all over, we went back to a quoits tournament. Years later, this is only the second time I was reminded of that event.
So, my answer is that, nope, I dont get a woody over machine guns. They have a purpose (a limited purpose) and, as a means of recreation, Id rather draw or go fishin.

In 1993, assault weapons accounted for 8.2 percent of all guns used in crimes

So tell me, Richard, does "used in" crimes
include defensive weapons used by the VICTIMS of crime?

Do u know?

That just goes to prove
that thay don 't get as much loving as thay SHOUD.

That sounds like FUN.
I 'd have gotten into that raffle.

That 's inspiring.
When I 've encountered kids at gunnery ranges,
I ve given them cash for ammo and ice cream.
After the guy won, u coud have n shoud have had another raffle
for the same prize; and after that: another one. Get my drift?

I 'd have requested a machinegun tournament, for more FUN.

Thay just do n't get as much love as thay SHOUD.
The Founders, sadly, did not have automatic weapons,
but thay DID have gunnery tournaments using what thay HAD available.
James Madison was known for running them.
A letter survives from Thomas Jefferson to his 12 year old nephew
wherein he counsels the boy always to take his gun with him
when he goes out for a walk, and he encourages him to render himself proficient
in its use. As a sport, he recommended gunnery in preference to ball games.

So, my answer is that, nope, I dont get a woody over machine guns.

I don 't believe that u r giving them a FAIR CHANCE.

I don 't wanna say anything against fishing (I love fish, if not overcooked) nor drawing.
Maybe u can draw pictures of beautiful submachineguns while u r fishing.

Every decent household in America
shoud have at least 3 submachineguns in it, including the Thompson Sub
and the H & K MP5 with plenty of hollowpointed ammo.

Marksmanship and safe gun handling practices shoud be tawt in schools

You now, or should know, that statistics of this type includes criminals. That is why they call it crime.

A good lawyer should be able to enlighten you further.
