I would like to start a thread in which everyone writes instant, unedited poetry. It might be surprising to see what we come up with.

I like to play on A2K
Helps to relax,
have a happier day!

Not much, but it WAS spontaneous.

The Eternal SnowFlake

Snow flakes on the pond

Drifting towards the sea,

Swept up by time

And of course, eternity.

Life is such a daily dither:
What and Why and When,
...and Whither.

Big Blue!

Big Blue! Big Blue!
How do ya do?
The cows in the meadow,
Or, man is dat Yu?

Squeeze and Please

Love me, or leave me, Babe
But, please stay the night!
Squeeze and please me
With all of your might!

Dang!

Willy-the-Shakes is not my name,
Though I penned a few poems today.

Dang! Ain't that a shame!
But hope, not a pain.

Jello in the Mold

Tears in my eyes,

Jello in the mold.

Am I cool?

Or just plain bold?

I think that I would rather see
A poem and not a buzzing bee.

A poem can be read and read,
A buzzing bee will soon be dead.

When I see
Shadow over me
I trek the sun
I break for fun

When I eat
Shallow pan burger
I mustard the bun
Onion the bun

And when my love
Comes with dove
I make a place by the fire
I place my heart on the fire

there is a bard
lives in my yard
it's not ME
he lives in a tree.

You stole my heart and soul last night
Your soothing voice was way too much
Intensity with such a touch
And now I'm in a dreadful plight

A paupers dream...a princess bride

Now i know not where I stand

I dashed this off on another topic, but am proud enough that I'd like to add it here. I was inspired. The edit was only to properly spell divine!

Ode to a Bloody Mary

What is it, dear, about you,
That makes me love you so?
Piquant you are and salty
As the fabled Russian roe.

You have a lovely color,
You have a taste divine,
You give me all I need to
Wash away that awful wine.

And so I thank you darling
For the pick-me-up I need.
You are the hostess with the mostess
And I love you dear, indeed.

Give me a blanket of fog
To keep the quiet in.
A paddock of snow
For making angels
In.

I love the thought of paddocks of snow for angels. My favorite winter sport!

Can We?

I like you!
Do you like Me?
If so, Babe
Can we party?

Party till the break of dawn,
Party till the fog rolls in
Party till I'm black and blue,
Is that OK with you?

Bee Stings!

I wish I was a little bee.
With a little stinger, too.
Then, I could come right up
And plant a sting on you!

I'd kiss that little sting
Until, it hurt no more,
Then, I'd come right back...and slap,
A big wet kiss on you.

Hip-Hop Big Boy!

Am I the apple of your eye?
Am I the love of your heart?
Please say yes to all of the above,
Then Big Boy, lets trot!

Trot to the left!
Trot to the right!
Hop! Hip-Hop, Big Boy
Jive with all your might.

I just read the Tales of a Shropshire Lad,
An' I'm like, y'know, it's like ... well, y'see
It's like New Year's moonlight on a restful sea,
Beautiful and quiet, but .... sad.

GLIMPSES

Glimpses into the future,
we could be as one,
our souls colliding,
but this was just for fun.

Fun is laughter,
or so I thought,
Laughter is deceiving,
my smiles were for naught.

The light is slowly fading,
With you still on my mind,
The darkness all-consuming,
Glimpses can be blind.

Bee Stings

I love snow
I love rain
I love the sun
But bee stings are a pain!
