Off We Go!
Hi! Ho!
Off we go!
Where to?
I should know?
I shiver as I think of all
The snow and ice you've had this fall.
It makes me feel a whole lot better
That we have mud & rain for weather.
In fact, I blush to say today
We've blue skies and some sun. Hurray!
The temp is mild, the plants are green,
If I say more, You'll surely scream.
Hi all,
Our power just came on again, after 14 cold hours! The thing I missed the most? Not the heat, nor the light, but my computer!
Debacle, great poem. You missed your calling.
Whose foot is this
I think I know
It's numb and white
with no life glow.
And fingers, too,
All pale and blue
Come back, come back
I need them, true.
Lordy, Deb - I hope that was not a true story in your poem! Or not a recent one, at least!
b
My Blue Lips
I'll love you in the morning
And in the PM too
If you would only kiss my lips,
And keep them from turning blue.
'Six At Dix'
( Lament For Buddy Cianci )
It won't be fancy
For Buddy Cianci,
Our poor mayor
Locked up over there,
(Without his hair!)
It don't seem fair.
This lass spent the day in Target
There was mayhem in that marché
Checked off my list
not one gift was missed
And what a debt I am in - oy vey!
littleK, I love the mayhem in the marche...
Where are you that you speak of shopping in a marche (sorry, I cannot easily come up with accent acute at this hour....)?
Great pome.
Not a marché really, but we tend to pronounce Target with a french accent to make it sound more chi-chi. (you can just cut and paste the é at this point....
Last-minute fixes, emails deleted
eyes getting sleepy, my bed calls, "I feel cheated!"
time to retire, and now say "Good night."
I'll see you tomorrow, my pixilated light.
Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you!
Merry Christmas to me!
Hey Baby!
Merry Christmas to even, that old dang Honey Bee!
Time for the Christmas log
Last night he had too much grog
Sweets, ham, potatoes - the hog -
Time for the Christmas log
'Christmas, Two Days After'
(December 27 2002)
Why do we slide back?
Why can't we stay
Gentle, forgiving,
For more than one day?
One day at a time
We struggle, to live,
And we learn and re-learn
That we get when we give.
It's Christmas
two days after.
where went our kindness?
Where, the laughter?
I Pray to be patient,
Slower to jeer
I can be different,
...Kinder, from here...
( jjorge )
Jjorge -- A good reminder! Thanks and thanks for my birthday poem, too!
Okay, here's a start...
On the first day of Christmas, I rushed around like mad,
Fa la, lala, la la laaaaa lah.
On the second day of Christmas, I looked at all I had,
Fa la, lala, la la laaaaa lah.
On the third day of Christmas, I wondered and was sad,
Fa la, lala, la la laaaaa lah.
On the fourth day of Christmas, I remembered and was glad,
Fa la, lala, la la laaaaa lah.
Alright Piffie! give us more!
I'm thinking, I'm thinking!
NEW YEAR's RESOLUTION
[/i][/u]
Tis better to THINK
Than to STINK!
Love Me!
Love me tonight!
Love me with all your might.
Hold me and kiss me,
While the moon shines bright.
Is that you with love in your eyes?
Then kiss and hold me tight.
Tight tonight... With all of your might.
Hold me and kiss me while the night stays bright.
Sun
Sun on the snow
Bright and clear.
Love this life!
Ain't it dear?
