What do I miss?

Kisses.
Invisible markers.
Love, not quite platonic not yet wild.
The merest graze. The gentlest buss.
Long held close.
Oh no! I miss those lips!
Not generic lips.
Not some hypothetical mouth-yet-to-be.
But my traitor love, my love-no-more.
The grinning glance,
The smack of greeting,
The sweetest elevation,
All much of a muchness.
Not to be copied
Or reproduced in any way,
'Less some puckish soul
Nip in under my radar
And lay his loving mark
On this scorched earth.

@edgarblythe,
Evocative. I like it.
I don't remember it from before.

Musings of a FB ‘Heavy User’

I had two hundred three of FBF’s
But now just two o two are left,

annoyed or bored, some buddy slipped away,
quietly, sometime yesterday,

I miss him (her?), but I'm not bereft,
perhaps he simply needed rest.

I know, I know! I learned this thing before:

‘parsimony’,

it means, my friends, that sometimes
less is more.

@jjorge,
Mostly FB friends multiply like fleas on a hound, in my experience.

@edgarblythe,
Hi Edgar!
it's a little odd when you notice that your number is down but don't know who it is that left.
Hope you and yours are well.

@jjorge,
I don't see the need for many friends on there. Your feed only shows what a few of them post.

Surcease

Friday, you are a welcome sight,
that full moon has wreaked havoc on me this week,
priority, crisis and deadline
have snarled and snapped at my feet,

over and over, with all my might
pushing a boulder up a hill,
when I reach the end -my night-
will anything matter still?

Friday, it's your other side
that I'm yearning for,
a known face
allied
Behind a familiar door,

a smile, a touch,
a bit of amber in my glass,
supper
love
leaves of grass.

Again I write to speak of darkness
Heartless as it may seem
I'm tired and drunk in the night
No light would shed its beam

I've done away with all my words
For they are fickle and cheap
To easy to speak a boring story
But hardest to feel you weep

It seems I'm ready for the end
And any time it may come
Done is my heart to fly
Toward the rising of the sun

@edgarblythe,
gone with the way i have , gone away strayed from the path
the packs
the past
sipped a optimistic hourglass , alas back from the future
with a present of the same name ....

through the eye of the beholder , grasped a last look at beauty
the blind man heard the deaf man say , the mute looked right through me
with nothing more to say then a curve of the lips ......
turned ta tip his hat smiled an walked away ...

picklocked a paradox
handed pandora back her box unopened
hopein
to riddle the enigma with questions , which were destined

sleep eternal
or
heat inferno
or stay awake waiting for day ta break .... cant wait ta make ya boss happy
and piss off the urinal

live life ,forgive strife , life right ,give life ,lit lights
rib might break an remember what that bone meant
fighting yourself mirrors the only opponent
kill for another moment
second chances take seconds but give it a minute , hour
infinite power , only limit what you give it ,
doing a verse a moon n a earth ,tomb n a church , doin the work
takin unique n diverse n short hand a universe ....doin it first
2nds away from a 3rd dimension ,this is my invention....

@edgarblythe,
You are pissing me off
Now go **** yourself
I want you gone from my life
So just go to hell
You're such a prick now
You make me sick now
And you still think you're fine
How about I **** up your life
Like you fucked up mine?

Dedicated to the chick who stole me bf.

@Angel23,
I don't think equivocating will make a strong enough statement. Why don't you tell us what you really think.

@edgarblythe,
Presenting your rump to the headlights
And asserting your right to be on the road.
Furry, foggy feral.
Braking hard, we sit and wait,
Watching your back.
A marker to other cars.
Horizontally opposed paws,
Adapted for grasping
Clumsy out of place on stony tarmac.
Your prehistoric brain,
Eucalyptus fuddled,
Fails to grasp the doom that dwells on there.
You gain the verge and we proceed.
Silently thanking our stars
No busy, bouncing truck
Swept down the other side
And cleaned you up.
