Another good idea. I never used one to actually shower, but it was a really neat way of getting into and out of the tub.

The hand grasp bar was the first thing I had installed in my ABQ home. Wouldn't get in and out of the shower without it.

I might also add another hand bar in the center of the shower wall for additional protection.

Michael can install the bars correctly without cracking the tiles.

well actually I had quit smoking before I broke my hip but after I came home from hospital and found that Lady Diane had started again, I simply joined her.

I'm more interested in you building up the endurance and strength needed to shower alone.

From there, your next goal can be to walk about the block (assisted by your cane). The not smoking can be a by-product of those walks for both of you.

Wouldn't that be a great photo; Bob and Diane walking arm in arm down the walk pulling behind them Ms. Sally Dog in a nicely padded red wagon that also serves as a resting place when needed.
