Took me close to forever to choose one. I tried to find a Mustang--hm, wonder why? Then I looked for something that would resemble Escher, Dali, Picasso, or H. Matisse. You know--the kind of stuff that makes absolutely no sense. Went to Google Image Search. Couldn't find anything small enough. So settled on this one (for now) because it doesn't seem to make any sense, either! :wink:

Diane, thank you for the welcome and the nice words. I'm still learning here, as you can see. That was not a good color for me to post in. I should have made it bold at least. Sometimes I'm just impetuous!

I got it from A2K's choices and had no idea I was a logo until I just did a google search. I still think it's cute, however, and will continue to use it until I figure out how to shrink my own photos (I've tried with minimal success) and probably beyond that because I now recognize myself quickly while scrolling through threads.

And with that in mind, jespah, it would make things a wee bit more difficult if we were sharing our avatars with others on the same threads. Not impossible, just more difficult.

That's strange, Phoenix -- I see it fine on my computer. I sometimes get lots of x's when I first log on here but then they all fill in in a short time.

Is everyone else seeing x's?????

bandy, if you still see the avatar it's because it's in your browser cache. Others who see it are also seing it from their cache. I see an x. I think you entered the avatar gallery (that deletes uploaded avatars).

I'm going out now but if you need another copy of the christmas avatar I have an even better one (the penguin is holding a present too) that I can send you.

Craven was right, I did enter the gallery but since I didn't check the 'delete' button I figured nothing would happen (apparently I was wrong). Everyone should see my little penguin with the red hat now.
