JJorge, we were talking about that last night at the pub by the way. Funny how the natives draw the boundry line here. Those born and raised here with a long trail of family history insist the Cape doesn't include any place on the other side of the bridge at all. We'll all be "washashores" forever.

i'm sure you've heard the washashore term Lk. there aren't to many real natives left here as we all know. last of the mohicans (sp) in a sense. lot of quiet resentment the locals have for us invaders. more like a tolerance.

Haha! No. I've known her my whole life though. She had a group of friends who grew up there and all of them moved away as well.

I feel bad, we should move the c cod chatter elsewhere....?

sounds like a good plan to move us somewhere else, you call it ok? i'm sure the locals would have no problem with that.

go to "forum index", the link is up at the top of your screen. Scroll down the page until you get to the travel section(?) it's under that section - says "North America".

My new avatar will automatically update every day (even when I'm offline) with a new fact.

I will soon use one that will automatically show the phase of the moon.

Both say a lot about me, I like the little tricks and while painting I thought of a way to have an ever changing avatar.

The phases of the moon will be outstanding, Craven. But what does that say about you... the moon is usually a woman's symbol. Can you elaborate on this???

edited for a typo, sheesh

It says that when I discover a trick that nobody else is using (in this case an automatically changing avatar) I will use it at the cost of personnal taste etc.

This was a big impediment to my early attempts at webdesign. Every time I thought of something new that nobody I knew was doing I implemented it, even if it was useless.

Well now - the moon MAY frequently
be used for a symbol of feminity
especially in the tarot cards,but
these days all REAL men are
expected to be ambidextrous
and be able to show their
masculine and feminine
sides with equal ease
don't you agree? Surprised

besides i think it sounds like a very very
interesting idea craven

Hmmmm .... I think I'll try this one for a while. Maybe the rotating red light will come back, maybe not. I just don't know .... Gee, this is quite a development here. Bears a lot of thinking.

I'd backed up all your uploaded avatars before the change, I now uploaded them to my testing server si of you want them they are here:

http://members.lycos.co.uk/cravendekere/givesthemback/

Now the names are random numbers that the upload code generated so you'll have to click on the files to see what they are till you find yours.

When you see yours the URL in your browser is the url to use.

Timber, you can find yours there (and the one you are using now is too big, it will slow down the page loading for slow modems).

that would be the ba**s to be able to do that craven. i've often thought about that, how to change my avatar on auto fly.
to change it with the cycles of the moon, local tides, would be great.
the moon and tide rules us all i think.
