1) be afraid. be very afraid.

2) because you are afraid, you should let me off the hook for breaking american and international law.

3) if you thought you were afraid before, if obama brings the last 250 or so terror suspects here from guantanamo, they will release them into your neighborhood because america has no experience in locking up dangerous people. now you should be really, really afraid.

4) liberal lefties love terrorists and hate you.

5) if you knew what i know, you'd be much more afraid than you already are.

6) and in closing, let me say that you should be very afraid because obama doesn't love you like i do. so don't let him put me in jail. because then no one will be around to love you, i'm afraid.

Interesting that you have no actual quotations from him whatsoever, in your thread about what he said.

The premise of the whole thread was a summation; see the title.

And it's hardly inaccurate.

It may be accurate and it may be inaccurate, but there is no particle of evidence in this thread that Cheney said anything of the kind, and it suggests that the author has no interest in what the man actually said.

It suggests nothing of the kind. Just how familiar are you with the English language? Does the expression "in a nutshell" mean nothing to you?

Even in a summary purporting to characterize another's words, it strikes me as unusual that there is no reference at all to any actual statement by the person whose speech is being characterized.

Were it to include quotations of passages from the Cheney drivel, it would no longer be "in a nutshell," now would it?

He's their Big Daddy figure. Makes them feel safe, like someone is protecting them from their deep-seated fears.

When you challenge him, you are challenging their sense of security; and that makes them scared. So they tend to respond with these less-than-logical posts, lashing out out of emotion.

Speculation based on nothing.

Even a summary of a speech ought to give one the feeling that it's actually based on the words in the speech.

How can others be responsible for the 'feeling' you get?

I know you'd love to change the subject, but I won't cooperate. My subject is why the thread opening post makes no specific references to particular statements in the speech it purports to summarize.

@Brandon9000,
Mostly because they are threatened by big bad Dick. He represents the truth that they are afraid to face and therefore resort to banal retorts and childish, schoolgirl behavior as shown in their replies.

You notice that they use keywords, established to entice fellow libbies into agreement so they can rally around themselves and hope that the guy they elected doesn't give their opponents enough rope to hang him. They know they have no leg to stand on to oppose what Cheney said, so instead they rally around their fears and jeers and cheer on each other in a show of strength. Kind of like a troop of chimps huddled together grooming each other...

Why don't you point out where it is in error, rather than speculating about its accuracy?

This response from Gargamel gets my whole hearted vote for the most idiotic post on A2K --- ever.

H2O MAn writes

Quote:
In a Nutshell, Cheney's Speech was outstanding and much, much better than PrezBO's apology and excuse speeches.

Somehow, to the rampant, cretenic and obese, Kool-aid Kid this opinion is obviously indicative of sexual urges for pre-pubescent children.

Not to mention the fact that this idiot, fogged by intoxicants, can't spell --- or can't use spell-check.

And so we are left to believe that because H2O MAN favors Cheney over Obama, we should consider him a purveyor of kiddie-porn.

At least until pedophiles move to the top of the "rights" list and Gargamel jumps on their band wagon, declaring they have a constitutional right to bugger eight year old boys.

Did you mention the truth? Well then, here's Cheney's speech in a nutshell:

Quote:
You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall -- you need me on that wall.

We use words like "honor," "code," "loyalty." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line.

I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it.

I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand the post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think you're entitled to!
