Why, on earth, would I then work the 60 hours a week it takes to earn my $160K? Just to hand $60K over to someone who chose, of their own free will, to forgo the opportunity to work their way through college (as I did) and just wait tables right out of high school? I already pay enough taxes, and donate enough to charity. Why don't some of the aforementioned slackers work to get trained to fill the positions taken by IT professionals from India (my co-workers) who are grateful for the opportunity to travel here to work and live?
