Getting back to the main topic and ignoring the ankle biters, Obama has an opportunity to show some leadership in this piracy mess. My suggestion was to establish shipping lanes and to protect ships that are within these lanes. The issue that this area is as abig as Texas and Mexico can be reduced by a fcator of orders of magnitude by using shipping lane strategies.

The ships that travel this area should have heavily armed parties that eliminate

Coordinate a low-flying satellite recon system with a group of very fast picket boats and you could have this pirate thing licked real quick.

The problem is - the expense, and prevention of future problems....

Whilel you guys were whining about how Obama "was doing nothing" last Thursday, he already authorized the use of deadly force under circumstances .
The military is under the "Commander in Chief", you forget.

The opportunity to control piracy is , as I said, establish shipping lanes and protect ships within them. Get a multinational coalition to patrol the lanes and provide protection for SHIPS, not geography.

Unlike the bankrupt and childlike GOP, I think that the present president has a plan and the ability to handle more than one thing at a time .
