You are aware that in Czarist Russia, Jewish males were drafted for upwards of 20 years at a very early age? This was, I heard, with the hope that after 20 years the adult would have assimilated into Christianity. That seems to have been an obsession (converting Jews) of one of the Czars, I heard.
Also, by being married, does that have an affect on whether one still has to serve in the military draft? I do think that a pregnant girl does not have to serve. So, doing the math, subtract two years from the draft at 18, and we can see that a marriage at 16 might have some other motive?
