OK, if it's simply "social agreement" and social agreements can all be equal in their veracity, they can thus be equal in their absurdity, so my dog being god must be congruent with Ohm's Law.

For social purposes they are obviously
not
"equal in veracity". "Truth" is "what works", and "degree of veracity" is determined by consensus.
