@OGIONIK,
What about trying an online listing for your cable company in your area. Don't know if it will work. Just a thought.

@Roberta,
have you been watching?

I watched the herding group last night. Fell in love again. Love those northern spitz breeds. Want a buhund!

catahoulas are quite amazing dogs.

I googled 'catahoula' but found mostly references to a Catahoula Leopard dog -- the State dog of Louisiana? Pretty dogs with an interesting history.

Siberian Huskies are nice.

Border Collies are smart.

Violets are blue, sugar is sweet and so are you.

Of course I'm watching. Flipping back and forth between the dogs and the Olympics.

Sigh. I had a spitz when I was a girl. Love that look.

Fell in love with the whippet last night (hound group winner).

Let's face it. I love them all. I'll take one of each.

@Roberta,
I watched my dog's breed video on line. I just couldn't imagine that schipperake's could be well behaved. They usually are so hyper, so I had to see it for myself. Probably why none has ever won best overall (or come close). Most of these dogs have their own mind so I can only imagine that a small percentage are able to be brought to a show.

So I'm rooting for the whippet, rooting for the whippet--and then the Scottish terrior won the terrier group. Fickle moi. Rooting for the scottie, rooting for the scottie, and the scottie won.

@Roberta,
That Scottie has won everything, and could probably be put up as a viable Congressional candidate.

@Roberta,
My aunt used to raise scotties in the 50's. I was always getting bit by the little pricks.

@farmerman,
Yup, fm, terriers can be nippy, not just Scotties. What they lack in manners, they make up for in personality.

@Roberta,
As usual, I didn't watch it. I'm mixed about the pure breeding thing, the beauty contest aspects... but, nevermind that, I never missed it when I had a tv.

I don't know if these corgis are vying in this recent show, but it's a cutie video..

Looks like Ch Segni at Coventry got the pembroke corgi breed 1st.

and Ch Mariel's Harvest Moon got the cardigan corgi breed 1st.

OK, so the title of this thread is a bit dated, but the subject is current.

Four group winners tonight:

Hound group: Irish deerhound
Herding group: Bearded collie
Toy group: Pekingese
Nonsporting group: Sharpei

Haven't found pictures of the group winners yet. I'll keep looking.
