Foist, I gotta apologize. I said an Irish deerhound won the hound group. Wrong country. It was a Scottish deerhound.

Yes, a geezer named Stump won. A sussex spaniel. Lumbering, liver-colored sussex. A lovely dog.

Don't fight about breeds and pedigree. I don't much care about breeding and pedigree. I just like dogs--any kind.

Stump (the winning cutie) was nothing but a pet for five years. Lounging on the furniture. Doing pet things. He nearly died. Then he made a comeback. Great little dog.

A few breeds now accepted by the AKC were new to me. Here's a plott:

And here's a Tibetan mastiff:

@Roberta,
The new one this year is the Dogue de Bordeaux, which was the Hooch dog in the film Turner and Hooch.

Oh that pic of Stump -- how luminous!

@jespah,
I have this strong urge to pick Stump up and hug him. 'Course he's fifty pounds, perhaps a tad unwieldy.

@Roberta,
Well, Pacco was sometimes right around 40 lbs (big for a corgi, but he wasn't chubby) and I ain't no Charles Atlas. I guess I'll hug him on my lap.

Saw the corgis, osso, avec and sans tails. Wonderful dogs.

The ibizan and pharoah hounds were gorgeous. Lean and athletic. The Irish deerhound won the hound group.

One line of dobermans?

i love pharoah hounds, ibizan is the dog i think i like but if its not a white vizsla looking dog then its not the one.

im partial to red and white dogs heh.

Conformity sucks out the dogs brains and leaves you with an Irish setter. (worlds stupidest breed of dog)

DONT gimme **** about Irishes , My dad used to raise the things for field and bench trials. DUM DUM DUM DOGS.

catahoulas are quite amazing dogs.

@OGIONIK,
Ogionik, Don't count on reruns. You missed the show.

Here's an ibizan hound. Is it what you were thinking of?

@OGIONIK,
I watched four hours of Westminster highlights this weekend. Two hours Sat morning and two hours Sun morning. They'll be on again. The highlights I watched started at the best in group level.
