The Bush government rejected Israel's request for aid to bomb an Iranian nuclear site in favor of a step-up in covert action against Iran's efforts.

Sounds like an oblique message to Iran.

The Bush government rejects outright terrorism in favor of a continued policy of covert terrorism. Wake up folks. There is evil among you, not to mention world class hypocrisy.

@JTT,
It would be very interesting to learn what kind of covert program is in the offing. Our CIA sucks, having screwed up on every major even (e.g., the fall of the USSR, Iraq, etc.).

Maybe Panetta will turn things around. Our so-called experience intell chiefs (Tenant, his successor, et al.) were worthless.

Sounds like a pretty clear message to Israel.
And which will become much clearer with the next US government, I fervently hope.

Bombing Iran's illegal nuclear weapons program would hardly be terrorism.

Was more a disagreement over tactics than a message.

Obama understands that Iran's illegal nuclear weapons program needs to be stopped.
