Welcome Larry! You're not barging in at all!

I think that max was going for A Star Is Born, but we'll have to wait for her to confirm or deny that. Very Happy

Tell me if this is too hard or too easy - movies where dogs play a notable role, humorous, with one exception:

Jimmy Stewart (not the Magic of Lassie)
Jennifer Grey
Dudley Moore
Denis Leary (not Wag the Dog)
Matt Dillon

Now I've gone and stuck up the works. Glad I didn't add the bonus challenge question.

Well, I don't know that this is notable, but it is humerous. In Dear Brigitte, Bardot gives Jimmy Stewart's little boy a puppy at the end of the movie.

And in Rear Window, a childless couple's dog is killed and Stewart suspects Raymond Burr killed the dog.

Ms. Olga said There's Something About Mary for Matt Dillon and Mac said Ferris Bueller's Day Off for Matt Dillon.

Are any of the above right, Larry? Rolling Eyes

Denis Leary - The Sandlot - The baseball-eating dog, the beast. (I loved that scene).

I should have remembered that Rear Window scene, raggedy. Jimmy was in a movie with a famous little dog, Jimmy being billed third after two others.

Thanks for the great hint, Larry. I had forgotten that Jimmy Stewart was in a Thin Man movie. After the Thin Man, with Myrna Loy and William Powell and Asta. I loved that wire-haired terrier.http://images.google.com/images?q=tbn:jnPi9sOIKtYC:www.iceweasel.org/pix/asta.jpg

Thank you, Mac. Monday troubles are all over now. Very Happy I don't know anything about Uncanny, but I believe you. However, I was thinking of a Ray Milland movie in which the title is the name of the cat who was the star in the movie. Want to take another guess or shall I give it to you?
