Sean Connery's voice gives me chills...

I knew a young Korean-American actor who could imitate Sean Connery's voice so well that it was shocking. (And somewhat comical coming from that face!) He had memorized lines from many of Connery's films. When he realized how I responded to this, he started sneaking up behind me and whispering Seanisms to me!

I just read a little bit about the Brylcreem Boys, the film in which Byrne played a commandant at an internment camp. It got lukewarm reviews, but it has a unique concept. I'm going to try to catch the movie when it cmes on TV again. In 1941, since Ireland wanted to remain neutral, the Dublin Govt. made a deal with Berlin and London whereby any soldier captured on Irish soil would be interned for the duration of the war in the same camp.Thus the German, English, Canadians, etc. were all imprisoned in one camp. The prisoners are granted day passes and a German and a Canadian each fall for the same Irishwoman, Riverdance founder, Jean Butler.

Interesting topic for a film! Obviously, I didn't read the plot summary very carefully - but I scanned and thought "Ireland? No internment camps there!"
