So if Raggedy's favorite movie is Wuthering Heights, and max's is Young Frankenstein, what's mine? (I'm not sure I have just one, but I'm wondering how you two would answer that question.)

And thank you for your comment about that word spinster. Someone actually said the phrase "old maid" quite disparagingly in my presence the other day, and I had to walk out of the room - didn't know if I was mad or amused. They forget that I'm an 43-year-old never-been-married woman! Actually the guy who said it probably has no clue how old I am...which is nice. People are usually shocked to learn my age - in a good way. Very Happy

On to max's question...

dafdaf, I've seen the Kevin Bacon link site before and had a go-it's quite good fun.

Interesting best film list, I would hazard a guess and say that you aint over 40, from your choices.

Macsm11,

I reckon Raggedy's choice of Wuthering Heights is down to her love of Larry Olivier and Max just likes big knockers

I share a love of most of Bette Davis's work, I like the way she walks there is no one else who walks like that. She must also have been the best marketing aid for cigarettes going at the time she was most prominent.

Although I have still to see a lot of the films considered by others as the best film, I love Casablanca and have lost count of the times I have seen it. Also Days of Heaven, Jean de Florette and Manon des Sources are right up there. I like dafdaf's choice of Leon, that was also a great film, Jean Reno is a fantastic actor and brooding presence.

Au revoir for now film fans

You got it Mac. Thanks dafdaf, I'll check out that site. And hiama, I adore Young Frank for many many reasons, but not for big knockers. Max is one of my dachshunds, I am female and straight. (is that the way you say it?) Rolling Eyes
As for Mac, I know she likes Victor/Victoria, so do I. If it is on, I watch it. I love a good comedy, and that one sure is a great comedy.
